which one should i choose to publish an article with ads and/or affiliate links? should i do the same article on both (or is that a bad idea)? besides comparing, and useful insight on making money from hubpages/squidoo is welcome and great appreciated.

Nothing bad using both, You can use one of them to integrate with your rss feeds and use another one to publish your article.

Anybody know any .uk equivalents of Hubpages or Squidoo?

I'm trying to promote some products for a UK affiliate program and it seems a good way of testing before rolling out a full promotion with dedicated website.

    TIA

So given i have an article, would i be okay i post it on both? or given an article, on one?

also, what exactly do you mean by integrating with rss feeds? if i had to take a guess that means you can sync it so everytime you make a blog post it puts it up on squidoo/hubpages - is this what is meant?

Its a good idea to harness both of them as they both are excellent to build a page on. But if i had to choose i would pick squidoo, only because I like the design layout better than hubpages - it looks more stylish IMHO.

I prefer Squidoo over Hubpages because the former offers more features. Hubpages must redesign its user interface.

Why would you not use both hubpages and squidoo at the same time? You should try to diverse in where you are promoting! These are both great places to start promoting.

I have been picking DP apart everyday for the last few months. I've read a ton, tried a lot of new things and learned new approaches to bum marketing, ppc and other cool stuff.

DP is awesome. I learned from a thread on DP about hubpages. I tried it and today checked my HP stats. My traffic is through the fricken roof on one of my hubpages... DP forums tell no lies... Squidoo? Yeah I've had a few spikes but none can compare to what Hubpages has done for one of my websites...

I've been using HubPages for a bit and I don't see any good results...
I thought by writing articles with them they'd get pretty good search engine ranking placements (SERPs) but I was wrong.

..or maybe my articles just suck, which I highly doubt.

I vote for Squidoo. You can create a bunch of lens and join them together, add different articles on them.

Be careful! Absolutely use both sites. Both Squidoo and Hubpages are loved by Google but remember, Google doesn't count duplicate links. So if you post the exact same article on both sites you only get the credit for one. Can you talk about your article from another angle? I currently have one Hub open and the link does not show up in my "Link" Search so I don't know if Google will count the link as an inbound. But you will get traffic from both sites. Good Luck

I would say use both as well.

I predominantly use HubPages just out of personal preference, and the fact that I have had my work perform and convert better there.
