I use it now and like it better than XP. XP pretty much just ran better. I don't really care because it came with my PC. I would be dissapointed if I bought it for like $200 .
It is not that I am against Vista but the fact is I am more than satisfied with XP. Hence I do not see any reason to change , more so since Vista is known to consume more of PC resources for its basic working. Regards, RightMan
Agreed wholeheartedly. My laptop has the same specs as a friend of mine. Mine has Vista. His has XP pro. His runs way faster than mine.
vista is working fine on my 3G laptop. Mixed feelings, why upgrade for bloated Os ETC. I have no idea what half of these applications are that are running. Maybe time for exodus to mac.
When Microsoft released Vista, they hadn't given hardware manufacturers enough time to perfect their drivers for it. This meant that there were a lot of unhappy early early-adopters for Vista. The bad news spread and because XP does 99% of what people want it to do, Vista wasn't the hit that Microsoft anticipated. Meanwhile Ubuntu released a very robust Linux version called Hardy Heron. I use them both at work and at home. XP for gaming and Ubuntu for work.
Friend if you want only performance and a lil bit security then Windows XP is best.... If you want a moderate performance and high security then Vista is best
I've run Vista on three computers so far and it works fine. While I do agree there might be performance issues if you computer does not meet specs its still pretty OK. On two of my computers I have not had antivirus for nearly three years and still not one virus has affected me.
Vista is a crap..Its hard to hack, Its hard to used a netstumbler, all things are hard in vista..I can even used my build in camera..Ill just used it coz i got a genuine one for the first time..
I had a computer on which I duel booted XP and Vista. Couldn't play my favorite games on Vista. I had several Vista problems, such as sound randomily doing out, and occasionally unable to play some utube videos. My computer eventually bit the dust so I bought a new HP quad-core 64-bit computer, 6 Gig RAM, 720 GIG hd, and 64-bit Vista installed. I've been running several months now and not a single problem. Still can't play some games though.
At first I was really against Vista. It was terribly slow. I then bought a much faster computer - and Vista, is wonderful now. I bought my new computer with the service packs already downloaded, and with matching drivers - which made it a lot smoother than my other computer.
Not so much anti-Vista as I am pro-Mac. Basically went to Mac after problems with Windows 98. Won't go back to Windows until Mac and OSX lets me down. Not likely to happen any time soon I'm thinking.
Well everyone goes with XP for the simple fact that Vista isn't stable it ravages your computer resources plus the incompatibility with most of the software that people use. It sucks plain and simple. cheers
