Teliasonera, if you only tell us: Why so many muslims flee their countries if Islam was producing such great societies, and if Islam gives so much wisdom and knowladge to its followers why the best scientist are westerners? If Islams gives it all to its followers why the west has the best Universities in which many muslims go to study? If Islam is the best of all religions why western civilizations have much better organized and more advanced societies than the Islamic ones? Just a few questions for discussian. If you don't like the truth just ignore them.
You are spot on that Muslim societies are in bad condition, there is poverty and they are backward in education and research..............but it is not Islam's fault, because there is no where in its teaching that Muslims should not learn etc. In fact although, Islam started since almost 1400 years, but i think apart from the initial 300-400 years Islam has not been practised. If there are Muslim majority in a country, doesn't mean that it is an Islamic Republic. In the earlier stages of Islam there were many great scholars, scientists, philosophers, doctors and inventors like Al-Beruni, and many others. But later on, the Islamic law has been left and apart from couple of countries i don't find its application. So yes i do agree that Muslims are not living in great conditions all around the world, but i don't think that Isalm has anything to do with it!
The problem is the limited productivity when half of the population (women) are forbidden to work, and the men who do work have to pray 5 times a day and spend a percentage of the year malnourished for religious reasons. Religious obligation isn't conducive with productivity. If i had to employ someone it certainly wouldn't be someone who, By choice, Had to stop 5 times a day to talk to himself and periodically starved himself.

women are not forbidden to work, they are not supposed to work to pay for their homes. Men must help their women and pay for them. the day is 24 hours, and during this period, there are 5 prayer. So I don't expect a person to work for 24 hours without rest! Best wishes.
And i don't expect them to pray during their sleep. I have worked with enough muslims to know that time is taken out of their working day for prayers, As do you. And as such this activity will reduce their productivity. it's common sense and a factual reality, Don't embarrass yourself by denying it. In England (given the times it gets dark) the rules they have to follow regarding when to pray can mean they have to leave their work on three separate occasions during the working day at times when breaks aren't permitted (plus of course their standard breaks). at midday, When shadows are twice the length as the object casting them and at sunset. with each prayer taking upto 10 minutes to say, and giving 3 minutes to get to and from the area they have set aside to pray in, We are losing over 3/4 of a hour, per day, per muslim of productivity. That means muslims, As a collective, Are less productive by a factor of 1 billion man hours per day compared to any other group of the same number. So it's hardly surprising that, As amm_amm said; "Muslim societies are in bad condition, there is poverty and they are backward in education and research". get off your knees and get back to work.
why then many western manufacture are run in where majority of the people are muslim? like malaysia and indonesia? check your intel processor, maybe it labeled made in malaysia, or maybe your seagate harddsik... made in malaysia or your memory chip? while in indonesia we have samsung, sharp, sagem, fuji and panasonic and they do have breaks for prayers. loss of production? they should left years ago. get off my knees and start to work with fresh start.
Firms go to those countries because labour is cheap, Nothing more. Firms look at how much production they get per $100, Not per person. They are simply taking advantage of a poor economy and low paid labour. Not really something to be proud of.

Wrong again. Manufacturers don't go to Indonesia or Malaysia to set up shop because its cheap. They set up shop here because these countries have the INFRASTRUCTURE. If they had wanted cheap, China or India are better alternatives.
I made no suggestion that no muslims are productive, I made the point that generally, As a whole, Islamic countries have a poorer economy, which MUST be effected by the fact that they have to have time off work to pray. It doesn't matter how much of an effect you think that time off has, It does have an effect. It doesn't matter how much time they have off, on their knees, wailing to some imaginary god. The fact that they work less means they are less productive. it's a mathematical fact that working for 7 hours will produce less than working for 8 hours.
That is your bias talking. You have no idea how Muslims pray and yet you still insist on this assertion that it somehow "affects" production. Two prayers x 5 minutes each totals up to around 10 minutes at the most. It does not even total up to an hour Its a waste of time trying to argue with you, so I am leaving. P.S.: Muslims don't "wail" in their prayers either, further evidence that you don't know what you are talking about.
None of that matters. The fact is working less reduces productivity. If praying takes time, which it does, it reduces productivity.
