This is rather depressing and frustrating news... Im sorry to say, but I've lost ALL MY GOD DAMN FILES (source files, everything) after I installed a fresh copy of xp (the crappiest OS ever, i f*cking hate you microsoft!) I couldn't access any of my folders on my D drive.. whenever I try to open it, it pops a message saying D:\folder is not accessible - access denied.. This sucks! Now I've to start MY WHOLE ONLINE LIFE from the scratch :(A LOT OF design clients are pissed at me, I feel so sorry for them... Some have asked for payment back, I've given it back to them except for a few others which Im not being able to refund due to insuffiicient funds.. So here's how we can work it out from now for all the current clients who have atleast a little hope in me (if I had given you the psd of anything, please remind me the download link so I can do the coding/changes you may have ask, or if I hadn't given you the psd, Please show me the design screenshots I showed you all, so I can start designing it from scratch..

I promise I can be the nice designer i used to be.. just help me get back on track please :(

Once again, I hate you Microsoft bullshiters.. go to hell with your crappy XP OS... aaaaaargh!!!!
SOMEBODY SUGGEST ME A BETTER OS TO USE.. THIS FCKIN SUCKS... DAMN IT!

    Hi Shinan

My designs are overdue for almost 2 weeks now - I have $85 outstanding paid up front, and I do still have the latest png but never got a PSD. I know you mean well but this is already overdue esp after your holiday, so if you're unable to get this done for me immediately, please just refund my money. You can reach me on MSN

    Thanks

You advised on two occasions that we would have our design changes undertaken within 4hours and that was days ago. Further I find it inappropriate and offensive that you found time to enter several design competitions within DP when in fact you had clients waiting for designs you had promised. Clearly we should not have paid up front for a service which you are unable to provide. Keep our funds, have it on me as a xmas present and purchase a backup solution. We have wasted weeks chasing after you and have now instructed another designer and his name aint pinocchio.

Shame about your computer problems there Shinan, sometimes these things can't be helped...

I'm in no great rush, and really like the layout you sent to me via pm, so I am more than happy for you to finish the design. If you could pm me somekind of estimate as far as delievery time is concerned I would really appreciate it.

Shinan, my patience is running out!!

I have not posted so far to give you a chance to get this done, but I'm afraid I'm with Jandia on this one. Think I've waited long enough now.

Please give us a FINAL delivery time that you CAN meet, otherwise please REFUND my full amount of $85 so that I can get another designer who delivers on time.

I also don't have time to play cat and mouse, so I'm going to give you one FINAL chance to get me this complete within the next 24-72 hours.

As Jandia pointed out, instead of dealing with those of us who have already paid you, you've been taking out $300 design contests on DP as seen via your posting history. What's that all about??

I'm sorry to hear of your computer problems, but you've had alot of chance to get my project done in the last 2 weeks.

Please prioritize those of us who HAVE already paid you and are putting food on your table and paying for your holidays. The $300 designs may be tempting to win, but do it AFTER you sort us out for god's sake!

If you can't complete it, please just refund the money I have sent you as I have not received anything useable yet.

The $85 includes my project's deposit PLUS an additional $50 which I sent as you requested it to 'help you out' as you requested in exchange to get this done sooner. I am sure you are a man of your word, right?

If you choose to complete my design and can actually meet the deadline in the next 24-72 hours, I will be happy to state completion and satisfaction as soon as I receive completion of this project, and also publically vouch for you on this thread.

If you are unable to meet this for any reason, please refund my full $85, seeing that you ARE making money off taking new projects.

I think these terms are reasonable.

    Thanks

Just thought I'd write a quick vouch for Shinan, in light of all of the stuff that has been written above.

I have been really impressed by his service - and the design he provided me was outstanding (especially for the price I paid).

I appreciate that there were some delays for the work due to his computor problems - which presumably caused some issues for clients who needed work a.s.a.p - but since he resolved those he has turned around my design in good time.

In short, shame about the computor problems - but still a very talented designer and a conversant, hard working guy.

Shinan, I think all you need to do is change the administrator privileges (google has many links) and you would be able to access the D: drive no problem.

I hope you manage to sort everyone's problems out :)

I do agree you need some kind of RAID or portable storage backup system in place if you are dealing with important files on a regular basis.
