My portfolio site is finally up! Click on v2.0 on the bottom, its a different design Concept 7 Studios http://www.concept7studios.com/ !!
nice, maybe have your v2.0 background fixed so that it doesn't move. when you scroll down the background will stay in place and not scroll up.
i liked version 2.0 better 8/10 when is the chelsea site online? i got a football site my own, mundialsudafrica.org is in spanish but it has good info tought.
i would like to rank 7/10 because i dont like site navigation header.. its too small to see you have to put that below header where the black line i am seeing i think it will look better.. well your design is nice..
I like your site, in v2 I don't like the black background. I think the black color is not for web design sites.
Its not a black background, theres a wood background there check your connection It might load up slow since its a big file
simple and nice...maybe you can put some of your recent jobs there or some testimonial from previous clients.Ity might help you a lot
Attractive enough, but the undersized fixed metric fonts mean I have to zoom in 20% on normal machines to approach legible, and 60% or more to become accessable on my large fonts/120dpi workstation. The grey italic text in the sidebar is too low a contrast to the background, this makes it very difficult to read even when zoomed in. You have major layout elements of images for text without alt text or image replacement techniques meaning images off the site is a bit confusing, and the use of presentational markup means it degrades rather poorly with CSS turned off. In your markup you do not even come close to semantics, with lists not marked up as lists, presentational images in your markup, table for layout on a fixed width layout that shouldn't need tables for anything, quotes that are not in BLOCKQUOTE tags, the person being quoted not being in CITE tags, being a 'new' design there is no reason for it to be in a tranny doctype, and you have a whole bunch of spans, div's, ID's and classes that serve little or no purpose. 3 out of 10.
Thanks for the very informational review, for the font I'm thinking if I should make it bigger. Now, for the images I personally did not want it having alt tags because many others have said that it just feels weird when your mouse pointer goes over images and tags pop up. I would really have to argue about the divs, I'm using every single divs there and there are no divs that don't need to be there. Tables, yes I do actually need them because if I set my 3 objects (those 3 things you see under the main header, with the 3 icons) to float tags, the bottom of the website won't function on other browsers. I will fix the quote problem. The reason why I'm using tables and other things is because I want my website working exactly the same on every single browser, and it does. Even if you disable css on your mobile phone and view it on your mobile phone it looks fine. So basically the reason why you see intresting tags is because the website works the same in different browsers.
@azkaed: Thanks! I had something in mind that would work out for a featured work before but didn't work, now I'm woking on something that I'm preety sure will do @coverscorp: Thanks simplicity was one of my goals. @goldenpearl: Yeah my goal was to make the site as simple as possible yet very good in design. I see the problem with many website design portfolio sites is that people place things all over the website and sometimes it becomes hard to find things.
