Any Halo Players Out There?

I just started playing Multiplayer for Halo Combat Evolved (Halo 1) as my nephews play it all the time.

I haven't been successful in setting up my own game that they can succesfully join (I know it has to do with Port Forwarding etc but I just can't get it working consistenly)

Is there a way to set up a game on an existing dedicated server? I was thinking that was what GameSpy did but they have no info on their site (none that can be easily found)

Anyone want to lend a hand and explain the best way to set up a password protected game that only my "buddies" can play in?

    Thanks!!

Halo 1?? What system are you talking about. Halo 3 is out now and it is much different. If you talking about computer, then 1 will be very hard to group because they stopped using servers for that game.

On PC but there is still definately loads of servers (like 600 or so).

I ended up going to gameservers.com and it was pretty straight forward.

Now if I could only figure out what cool things I can do server side (not Custom Edition but Combat Evolved)

If anyone is into it, let me know and Ill give you the server name we play on all the time.

I'm into Halo, there are around 700 servers online, and 1700 players at peak time, so its far from dead, its one of the few games that dont lose its playability over time, as your constantly learning.
