What exactly is bumping?

    I want to know what is bumping? Because I received notices from DP. for bumping. How to avoid Bumping?

    To bump a thread on an Internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads :rolleyes:

    Bumping - Basically pushing a thread up when you are the creator of the thread, or trying to increase your post count if you reply to a thread. This would include making nonsense posts that do not actually contribute to the thread. A way to avoid this is by only replying if you really need too. Anything you can do via PM is probably best to do. Bumping posts include, "only 24 hours left!" "please pm me", etc.
