Not doing too well with Adsense

I have had my adsense account for 8 months. It was on one site for the first 7 and now its on 2 more as of this month.

On the site that it was on for about 7 months the traffic was well, between 100 and 300 uniques a day. On the best day I had 2.2k uniques

Is there anything I am doing wrong, how can I raise my CTR? I want to be making ATLEAST $1/day, but now im lucky if i make that in A WEEK

    Edit: Removed some info

you are using adsense on a proxy site ?? well. its violation of their policy because you can't control the content of the page.Try using adbrite instead of adsense.

The adsense are on the mainpage, the adbrite is ontop of the proxified page

I thought adsense on the main page of proxy sites are allowed? I asked many people already and they said its alright and I have seen a lot of sites with adsense on the main page.

I am working on fixing my ads right now, I got one to blend in more and im going to remove the huge banners I have on top

Actually, Adsense is perfectly legal on a proxy site as long as you don't use them on the proxified page :)

Also, OP, if you post your proxy URLs here we could see what you're doing wrong, if anything.

Hey, I have a suggestion. You could possibly add more content below your search box that way the ads will relate to your content and you should get an increased click though rate because at the moment your ads aren't related and therefore the visitors to your website wouldn't typically click on the ads that are being shown.

You just need more traffic. Usually, after 8 months, you'd know what to do. :(

You might find that your ads will NEVER perform well on the proxy site. Your visitors are going there for a specific reason. They're not browsing your site or your content, they're just using your service. Therefore, as soon as they get there, they then browse away from your content.

Typically, content rich sites are the ones that perform best will Adsense, as you keep the reader interested, then they leave your site through an Adsense click.

All the things traffic, clicks depend on quality of contents to some extent because good contents not only provide more traffic but a better CTR.
