Well, it really seems quite simple to me.
First of all it pretty obvious there is NOT a simple 'corrupt webmaster' thing going on.
This is pretty obvious stuff, EVEN if its a guy who has a friend that is an editor that gets his links in there. That is still NOT the point of DMOZ.
Seems to me one of the 'more' senior people need to post on there and auction up to get a site listed. Or get several sites listed to several categories. Ask for a 1 day turnaround and agree to a nice payout. When these sites are added and its time to pay up, wouldn't it be QUITE clear who the corrupt person was? Its not like someone else is going to tell you. If I went on there and paid $100 to get added, I wouldn't want to say to lose my listing, you know?
Also, Im sure the DMOZ staff is QUITE large. Obviously not everyone over there is corrupt, but obviously there is a handful and to think there is not is quite blind...

I know, some one is going to pay $100/month for submission and that is the reason 53 editors bid on it.

    Who are you kidding?

Senior editors, only those can list a site in any category they want. ;)

And how does someone earn that position to editall? isn't it edits in the range of 10k edits? now do you think someone with that many edits and someone who puts in that much time would risk his or her position for 100 dollars. this makes no sense to me.

Again who are these 53 editors that have bid on this?

This is not American Most Wanted nor is it a Magistrate Court etc. If you are so interested in following up with such accusations, maybe you will want to do the necessary, be a prosecution witness. There are thousands of editors working hard on a voluntary basis. Such accusations on circumstantial evidence does not hold water.
