I guess if it is an exceptional site. I've got to PR5 before with a very niche site that was in very high demand and attracted some authority links to it.
yes it is possible if you have strong backlinks I sell high pr backlinks and for the next update your website gets the juice of those high pr websites and you gain pr. Thats all.
OMG!!!!! I cannot believe the information that is going on around the internet!!!! In order to get a PR 5, you would probably need about 4 or 5 dofollow backlinks from PR 5, 6, or 7 websites. Very easy to get if you buy the links like so many cheaters do. Very hard to get if you want to get it for free. Unless you can find some really stupid people with high PR websites to do a homepage link exchange with you. If you have a really good public relations campaign and some popular websites and blogs write about you, you can get it like that as well.

Well let's see which pages are transferring their pagerank to your website and we'll decide on that one. And BTW, PR doesn't really mean crap. That's why if you search for a competitive keyword in Google, #1 could be a PR 3 and #2 could be a PR 8.
I think it is possible to get PR 5 if you can get good backlinks for your site. The links should be from authority and higher PR sites.
YES, it is possible. and i have my own example. !! Though my blog is 6-7 months old its homepage PR 4, but the PAGE written just few days ago [about 1Month] has PAGERANK 5 . Yes, Believe me. it is possible...
That's going to take some work but I've heard of people doing it. There was this blog here for sale, a PR 5 in 2 months
What's funny is that this PR 5 site, when I copyscaped - didnt pass at all -- on the contrary, (scraped content)......This is why this PR story begins to amuse me . The algo is not "there" yet. I got myself this kind of discrepancies on my sites.

I was looking over some of his/her backlinks and a lot of their PR came from exchanging links in their blogroll with other blogs. They also found some "Link Love" blogs that allowed them to post a dofollow link and comment on their posting that had PR.
Well, I got a PR 4 for two of my websites inside 45 days just on the basis of content and absolutely no backlinks. That was 5 months back. Have been trying for PR5 since then and no success yet.
