I know setting a new years resolution should not by a selfish goal. But, would asking to make more money be gready as a new years resolution?

It is greedy only if you actually feel guilty for making such a resolution...

Look to develop good skill instead.....and keep money making as the by-product.

The word "ambition" is more appropriate than using "greed" :)

Making more money will allow you to live more comfortably, and more importantly, it will provide food, shelter, and other necessities for your family - so there is nothing greedy about it at all :) Good luck!

Depends on what you consider greedy. It wouldn't be greedy if you try to make some money on your own.

No, not at all. You can get money only by working hard or working smart. (either way, there is a little work involved :D)

A new years resolution shouldn't be selfish, it should be something which helps make you a better person, such as giving up a habit, not being so mean to people etc.

Having a selfish resoloution defeats the whole purpose of a new years resoloution IMO (no offence of course m8) that's just my own personal belief though.

Well if you're rich, then it definitely would be greedy to want more and more money. If you're barely affording the bills, it's not greedy.

    Just depends on your situation.

I think new years resolutions have to do with things that are in your power and that you can change.
To make more money would mostly depend on yourself, and how hard you work.

Resolutions are not wishes, but rather goals or objectives that you set for yourself. So maybe you should make a resolution to work harder, always be on time, and to be more productive and efficient. If you can manage to succeed in these things, then more money will likely come.

You miss the question.. More details: Say if I made around $XXXX amount of dollars in 2008, would setting a new years resolution to make more than what you made last year be greedy?

    That is the question.

A new year resolution is focus on oneself. Don't worry about what others are thinking.
