How to promote my site ?

i am having a forum. i planned to promote that for a keyword "Entertainment". Can it is possible to promote. if yes. how to do.

i am commenting lots of blogs ( real comments ) with the keyword and i am using forums sig.

 

You can take part in a forum post exchange.

 

It is very possible but try to remember that lots of webmasters are already competing for that keyword so it would take a while before search engines will give you traffics.

Try to use extra words with Entertainment like Entertainment with SOngs, Games, Movies etc.

You may buy or purchase the traffic on the other hand

Create the files like robots.txt and sitemap.xml

because these files guide search engines to find your site and its pages fastly and correctly.
Use Google webmaster tools. It will help you a lot.
Try to write some of the articles on the entertainment and provide the link to your website in those articles. this is very effective way to receive natural traffic.

Because there are so many article submission website that get good ranking in the search engine.

They not only submit your articles, but also let other similar sites to place your articles on their site keeping the contents original.

Create as many as Quality One Way Back links.
Include as many as possible with your key word (within anchor text),in articles also.

 

If it’s new, it would be best to aim for long tail keywords. The word “entertainment” is too broad and competitive.

 

You can build backlinks through article marketing as well however, it may take
some time to rank well for "entertainment".

Don't target 'entertainment', seriously theirs way too much competition (830,000,000) results, and you will be trying to beat sites such as the BBC, Yahoo, MSN which have dedicated website sections for entertainment, for example:

If you really want to promote your webiste. You just simply sign up for google adwords. There you can start promoting your website right away. But you have to pay for the click cost when someone click on your ads.
