According to Wikipedia, Iceland is the most peaceful country in the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Peace_Index
A country can afford to be peaceful if no other country will ever attack it. I don't see what anybody would gain by conquering Iceland! Since we are on the topic of peace, the most peaceful major religion is definitely Buddhism.
Yeah perhaps. But choosing a peaceful religion is like choosing to kill your mom or your dad. All are terrible choices. The best religion is no religion.. As for most peaceful country I'd say Iceland, primarily because I cant disagree with facts. As for major countries, I'd say Canada.
Canada would be on my top ten list for sure, but Hockey throws them down a few spots. Other than that, I'd say Switzerland is very peaceful.
In my opinion, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland and New Zealand. A few years ago, maybe Australia, but their governent are always changing the laws and replacing them with stupid ones (blocking websites)
No country is peaceful; when the right time comes they all get their hands covered in blood of innocent people. "Peaceful Country" - it is no more than a dream. If you are attacked, there is no more peace in you.
Japan ranks quite high, even though it's very much a huge nation over 100m people, those in the top 4 are quite tiny countries in terms of population so relatively easier to cope with problems.
