I like your site. The blog theme is great, your adsense positioning is good, and there are some useful articles their for people who need info on car insurance. You site loads fast too.

 

Thanks for the speedy feedback. The blog theme is actually a free one, and the hosting is pretty good, hence the speediness of the page. I'm glad you like the posts, because at first I was a bit sceptical at the quality of some of them. Anyway, thanks for your feedback

 

The site look OK but i am not sure about the brown colour something does not look right in that department !!! Well done.

 

I like the overall design (the colors and layout) but I noticed to have "recent posts" in both the sidebar and at the bottom of the page. I would move the "recent comments" to the sidebar and since you have a separate page for "about me" you could get rid of that stuff from beneath the posts. Right now its repetitive.

 

I agree with river on the about page being there twice, but thats my only critism, personally I feel it is a very informative site, good one!

Out of interest have you made anything from it and how long has it been up?

Thanks again for the feedback. The thing is that the theme automatically comes with the 'Recent Posts/Comments' in the footer, and I thought that looked quite nice, so left it there. I then pretty much ran out of options of what to put in the sidebar. I'll have a closer look later.

Nut, the site has been up 5 or 6 days now and has made me about $7. It's a really high paying niche.

Well, I'm no expert, but everything looks fine, just try getting some more traffic to it. Personally the only advertising I've done is to sumbit it to some directories, and I've got around 200 UVs since I started it.

Nice! How do you get your traffic?
BTW, the CTR depends a lot on the traffic, if you've submitted the site to people who have used these sort of sites before, they're less likely to click on the ads and will only read the content as that's what they've come for. That's why SE traffic is so good, because most people will just be browsing and might see an advert they like the look of.

 

Overall I think the site looks good, the template, the layout, and the content is good,
and the site is easy to navigate.

 

It looks consistent on all 4 browsers Ive tested it againts (IE7, Firefox, Chrome and Safari). The theme is clean and professional.

Pretty poorly if I'm honest, the CTR is terrible, but I'm not sure whether that's down to the type of traffic I'm getting or whether it's just that my readers don't want to click the ads

Actually, I haven't got a buck in a few days now. The traffic has pretty much died off so the amount of people clicking is really bad. Need to do some more SEO work to get some organic traffic ideally. Made $6.95 since the blog began around a week and a half ago.
