I'm new to paypal sorry for my ignorance I just want to ask if I can accept payment in paypal even if it was not verified yet?

Second question I am currently using Personal is there a limitation as I am planning to have some sideline job online. If I upgrade to business is there another fee or transaction fee?

    Thanks.

Yes you can accept paypal though you are not verified, but there is a receiving limit.
If you upgrade to business or premier, there is a small fee for receiving, but if you get credit card payments business account is the most suitable also you'll be covered by the PayPal seller protection policy.

Personal paypal(what you have now) Is only mostly for sending money like buying stuff from E-bay or Amazon etc. You CAN accept payments from Paypal as a personal account but it's limited when you accept by credit card. Also you can get in trouble because you're not supposed to and they COULD close your account or notify you about the "suspicious activity". If you want to continously receive money on Paypal you need to upgrade to Premier/Business account, for me they took out $1(from my Bank) for doing that and each payment you get they take out a few cents, Like I get $1 I really get about 73 cents I believe. OR they take $1 out of every $20 you make. I'm not sure but it's something like that. I have premier and it's really good. =) With premier(if you're old enough) You can get the PayPal debit card..so you have your money INSTANTLY. I have the debit card..and omg I LOVE IT. =)

You can upgrade from Personal to Premier or Business account.

If you wish, you can open another Premier/Business account, along with your regular Personal account. It's okay according to PayPal Terms of Service.

Where are you from? I think you need a credit card to verify a PayPal account.

Yes, you can accept payments from other Paypal users. Since you are using a personal account, there are limits unless you get your accounts verified. Personal accounts don't have any fee's for sending or receiving money BUT you will be charged extremely high fees for accepting credit card payments. However, if you upgrade to a business or premier account, you will be charged fee's for receiving money but not sending money. The only benefit is that the fee's for receiving credit card payments are much lower than those of a personal account.

Not always a credit card we need to verify paypal account, since debiet card issued by one of US bank will also apply to verify paypal. Might you know about Payoneer Card? it's only debit card, not a credit ones. but as they stated, that :

I verified my paypal with Payoneer, and never got any problem. but you should sure that you only can verify your paypal with payoneer while you have any amount balance on it. Never try verify paypal with payoneer when it was on empty balance. hope that it will help you.

Living in the US will give you a lot of paypal benefits such as the Paypal credit card that is not issuable in many international countries. In the case that you are considering verifying your paypal account with a debit card, you need to check with your bank if the debit card actually works on online shopping. That is what paypal does, it charges your credit card a small charge (around 3 bucks or less) to make sure that you are stating the truth with your account, both bank and personal account. Once the information is complete and verified YOu will be verified as well.

However, in Mexico, for instance, our banking organizations do not allow debit cards to be used online; so we have to verify with credit cards, and that bites.
