I've started doing a lot of computer side jobs and decided to give it a go as a business. The name of the company can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/74zg2h Here's some thoughts about the logo: * Ignore the current color scheme on the website * Professional logo * No cartoons * Need to to be sized to use on business card, website, and stationary * MI stands for Michigan if that helps. * Blue's and greens for a color scheme * Would like some sort of logo and our name attached either below the logo or on the side * We will be catering to small to medium business companies - no personal home computers if that helps. Work will include Networking, Network operating system migrations, IT Assessments, open source alternatives, SharePoint Development and much more. Contest Information - Starts: 12/28/2008 - Ends: 12/31/2008 sometime in the afternoon (EST) - Winner receives $20 via paypal I will provide feedback on your design throughout the contest period. Good Luck!
Thank you for being the first post. This doesn't scream professional at me. Don't like the circuit board (doesn't mean much) The colors and fonts are ok - but doesn't pop. Thanks for trying.
Sapiraz, Great work. I love the text in all of them. The world icon thing is a bit iffy. I will show them to my business partner today and get some feedback. Like the blue green colors on the square pattern. I think I like that the best. So far definitely in 1st place.
Thank you mate i can provide more samples if they wont like those i sent u. just contact me if needed. Regards
Sapiraz, We both like the second one on the left. Would like the icon to the end tho. Don't have to do it now - but if you win 2 More days left in the contest.
Dang, I was going to enter, but i see that PM entries are accepted, so I'll pass on this one. Good luck everyone!
I think what he means actually is that he doesn't enter contest where the CH accepts PM'd entries instead of stating that all entries must be displayed in the thread.
Isn't it fair for everyone to keep their secrets in case someone decides to copy an idea? I don't mind showing my entry after it's been chosen. We're still talking about money here. Besides, it adds to the mystery. And this is coming from someone who was against PM entries a couple of days ago.
I quick try from me, It wasn't exactly what I was originally going for, but... Feedback appreciated, Will
I refer to the guidelines I recommend to every new CH & go by myself to try & keep contests as honest as possible. You can find the guidelines I refer to here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=8754047&postcount=8 Besides, if you are that worried about someone taking your $20.00 (10 to 30 minute) project, water mark it & utilize both the DMCA & Copyright laws in your country to help you.
@scorpionagency, Its not about stealing the logo by the CH, its about stealing the 'idea' by some participants.. I mean,if the CH says that he liked one entry, then you can see a lot of entries being followed pretty much similar to that one.. I beleive its unfair to the original designer.. As far as I think, there is nothing wrong with PM entries provided he posts the winning entry pubicly once the contest is over..
