    Hey folks...

    Take a chill pill.... do not run into any arguments!!

    This is what I feel;

    Manpower wise; India has largest(no. of soldiers) Military.
    Equipment and Technology Wise; US and Russia have the latest technologies which makes their military more powerfull than all others.

    Also... its not about being #1... This thread was started reg. Indo-Pak War which is on a verge of happening/not happening and this thread has taken a wrong turn...

    We cannot actually compare India and US since the metrics( population/ years of freedom/ literacy rate/ lifestyles ) do not match...

    About the top 10 richest men!!! Who cares!!! But Ambani's from India are in that list for sure....

    Lets turn back to the topic...

    Is War the only way to put an end to Terrorism??

    Corruption is always a large part of democracies. It's usually the biggest problem.

    Politicians don't seem to truly represent the people in any culture. Everyone in the world should demand the best of their leaders, but people are too busy with their own lives to really get involved.

    That said, democracy is still better than the alternatives.

    Democracy is hell of a lousy system but the alternatives are far worse. There isn't much choices, human beings aren't perfect, we can't have a perfect democracy.

    I'm not from the US.

    There is a much higher percentage of poor in India. Remember that you can get dirt cheap labour there, so even people with a wage still have problems with day to day money.

    That is baseless.. There is no substance in your argument.

    50 INR would be more than enough for 3 meals a day in India...
    Thats not the case in the US....

    To compare two things, the units of comparison have to be same...

    40 pounds != 40 kilograms.
    10 $ != 10 INR.

    To equate things, you need to convert either of them to similar unit as the other and then compare. Phew!! Basic mathematics.!!

    Since when is 50INR enough for 3 decent meals?A few Indian tourist sites suggest 500INR per day is for basic food, in a small city.

    1) You are referring to the British currency - pounds.. I was referring to pounds as a metric to measure weight(mass).

    One standard kilogram is the mass of platinum iridium cylinder of diameter equal to height kept at the International bureau of weights and measures in serv'es near paris.

    Refer : http://www.lenntech.com/unit-conversion-calculator/mass-weight.htm

    2) Whats the bid deal ??? [Well re-written article, i must say.Try your hand in the CONTENT CREATION FORUM]

    3) Tourists are not poor.Stick to the context.One who has no basic needs like food and shelter would not be touring around the globe.

    WTF are you talking about?

    If 500INR is for 3 basic meals, what would 50INR buy? 1 plate of soup? You're the one briging this off topic with your fake facts.

    I suggest you read more into India, to see how wrong your facts are.

    Dude, you can't get even a semi decent one time meal for $15 in US. Don't just compare the currency, compare the expenses as well.

    Besides it is not the center of argument that American beggars are wealthier than Indian beggars. beggars are beggars, homeless people are homless and they all are poor, no matter where.

    I'm sure, if you go and tell these guys that they are well off than many people living in India, they will suddenly start feel better...lol. Try it some day ;)

    The fact is every Super power has poor, those live in a living hell and government abandons them. As for Peter's proud announcement that no superpower abandons poor, thats BS..
