A video course to discover how to make money from video sites?

    Hi all,

Just curious to know how much demand there actually is from IMers to discover the proper way of affiliate marketing (using CPA, etc) using video (i.e YouTube, etc) as the marketing medium ...

If there is a product that shows one how to generate decent income from video marketing, would you pay for it? And if so, how much?

Any inputs (such as what you'll like to learn in such a course like this, etc) would be much appreciated.

P.S. Chances are I'll also contribute a review copy (if and when I create this video course) to someone who provides the most contribution to this thread as well.

I think the demand for such quality products will be great. However, most people who would be interested in such products are IM who has not made much money online, those who have mastered the basics would probably be interested as well but they most probably would prefer to spend money investing in their IM methods unless your product is reasonably priced.

It is hard to suggest a good price for your video without knowing your plans. Will it be a single video, or a series of videos? Will there be an accompanying PDF? Checklist? You mentioned a few methods to generate income, CPA, affiliate marketing, perhaps article marketing and video marketing. Will these be released as a single product plus bonus or will they be standalone products?

I would suggest to price your product at the very least $47 (just because video is harder to produce), if you have 7-10 videos, by all means you are entitled to price it at $99 and not many people would complain if they find them educational. I myself would only buy it if it is about $50 with further options of discount by becoming an affiliate of yours first, if it is $100, I would not place it on top of my list of priority of things to get.

No matter how you are going to sell you product, regardless of number of videos, etc. I highly recommend setting up a support forum and mailing list, so that you have your own list and subscribers to market your future products.

Good luck creating the product and marketing it. Hope I would be lucky to receive a review copy in the near future :)

If you can provide proof and such that it does convert, along with a few stats like conversion rates then you'd certainly get people motivated, maybe even start the next EZA kind of craze. Most importantly people are gonna want to know if it works for CB, and the kind of niches that convert best for video sites, including pointers on presentation and delivery, including completely clueless computer users (like myself) who will want to know how to get videos made and published.

And as for whether experienced players will buy it, no one is going to turn away from more money, especially if it means something as productive as extra hops and traffic.

@bobbyt: Hey buddy, really appreciate your inputs here. To answer your question, it will be a series of videos and knowing myself, I have to keep it concise (7-11 videos max). And yes, there will probably be an accompanying PDF and checklist. I have no intention of pricing it any less than $77 as I want to attract affiliates as well.

@MedicAffiliate: Yes, I'll be providing proof and certainly will show some live video clips of mine as live examples always serve as great assistance in learning.

@rolf: Hiya rolf, I've communicated with Chad before. He's got a good product there (I've got it too) but what I envision to be my final product will be far more detailed and helpful when it is complete. I'm assuming you've got his cash course too? If so, what do you think it lacked?

@others: Any inputs would be appreciated! :)

Just to add on to this thread to make it more useful for those reading ...

Earlier this month, I created a video clip that is under 3 minutes long. And uploaded the video to a few sites. This particular entire process took all of just 14 minutes. After uploading it, I left it alone (basically, no social bookmarking or anything of that sort was done for it).

2 days later, it started clocking sales for it and in 20 days, have already chalked up 9 sales transactions (as seen below). This is only just 1 example of the many different videos I've uploaded before.

Love to digest any inputs or answer any questions you may have.

Impressive results, can you tell us what kind of conversion rates you had?. Also, you forgot to mention the niche :)

I reckon you have the potential to make a kick-ass product here, since you seem to be doing very well with video marketing yourself. If you release a product, make it honest and with little fluff, people will love it. I certainly hope you do release this course and it becomes a success.

MedicAffiliate: Conversion rates? Can I say good? LOL. Sorry I can't tell you about the niche though.

teapoint: Thanks teapoint. I definitely am going to be brutally honest with the product. It won't make you a million that's for sure. This product will be targeted towards the beginner to intermediate side of the spectrum. Appreciate your wishes.

Just to update the thread a little:

Another sale came in for the particular niche which I posted earlier and the new screenie reflects that ...

Really cool don't you think. I've no doubt that this one would eventually go on to produce $500 in due time.

Ok now, I just thought I might provide yet another example to show how effective videos can be in providing passive income.

    Here's video #2:

This video was created back much earlier this year and took all of 12 minutes to create, upload and tag.

It produced on average a sale every month for me (some months twice). The only month which did not produce for this particular video was back in March. No complains here.

After refunds and 13 sales later ... nett profit of $296.68. Neat!

Feel free to ask questions if you have any. (Don't ask about the niche though)

I'd agree they do work in most cases. Don't take this the wrong way but don't you think you need to be making some more money? I mean don't get me wrong its great your generating an income, but I don't think you can just jump into something immediately until you're really seeing more income.

AffiliateRook1: Maybe I'm missing a piece of the puzzle here. These are only 2 examples of videos that are working for me. And think about it this way, if videos are working for me, don't you think I've got a lot more than 2 videos? Ponder about that for a sec. And that last part is a little contradicting because ... no one really knows anything will work for them until they get their feet wet. And it's precisely I've been getting decent income from these that I create more and more. Let me know if what I said confuses you?

It doesn't confuse me in the least bit. I see your making money, that point is very clear. The point I'm making is.. Dont you think it's going to be hard to convince people to purchase your product when you show how to generate a few hundred every month, whereas someone similar will show how he generates a few hundred every week.

I have no idea why I'm so confused.

A good article marketer will tell you he keeps producing articles (either himself or outsourced) if it's working for him.

In a likewise manner, my videos produce results so I keep producing them. Who said anything about me making a few hundred a month? Truth be told, video marketing makes me $x,xxx each and every single month. Way more than a few hundred per week.

    Hope that helps now?

Perhaps I was confused then. I was looking at the pictures that you posted with sales and thought otherwise.

Kelvin, if you go ahead with this are you going to post a launch date on your blog? I might be interested in doing some pre-launch promotion for this (building a list etc), so it would be handy if I could know the launch date when you decide on one. One more thing, do you tend to focus on one particular niche when making videos, or do most niches convert just as well?

TrafficLicious, when promoting a product do you post the same video multiple times but just with different titles and info or are you creating different videos for each phrase that you are after?

I think there is a demand for this type of product. I've purchased a couple of youtube guides as well so I don't see why another product wouldn't work , especially if you have proof to back it up.

I like the video route, I like to see the process as a whole so a video course with a pdf backup/transcript would be cool.

    hi teapoint,

it's likely i will post a launch date on my blog. if you like first hand information though, drop me a PM with contact details (e.g. MSN / SKYPE). I've already got contacts lined up who are ready to blast this out to their lists when it's ready and I'll love for you to be one of them.

To answer your last question, what I do is to cast my net wide initially (to test the niches that work personally for me) and then go deep when some niches prove themselves. But I NEVER EVER focus on just 1 particular niche. And no, not all niches are made equal. Hope that helps?

    Hi terryd,

Yes, you'll want to post the same video multiple times BUT on different video sites and not multiple times per video site. And I create different videos per phrase. Doesn't take me more than 20 mins to create a fresh video.

Appreciate your positive responses. Any opinions on price range of the video course?

    Cheers!

P.S. Sales continue to come in strongly (from my video marketing) since the new year and I know this because I have one account that's dedicated to track sales from videos.
