Which update services do you ping when you publish to your blog?

Which update services do you ping when you publish to your blog? I am using a self-hosted Wordpress blog and have these listed:

Does nobody use this? I thought this was one of the keys to getting a successful blog?

 

The key to a successful blog is writing articles people are interested in.

What you need to be careful of is over pinging. Many of the aggregators you have listed (some twice) ping the same services. Depending on how often you update your blog some of them may view your submissions as spam.

 

I ping everything in the general category at http://www.pingoat.com.

The default pingomatic is sufficient. You don't need anything more. It's the content that matters.

I just use the one already in place with wordpress, ive added no more.
