Wordpress: big problem with changing the name of category slug!

hi,
im in word press 2.6.3
for example my category slug is cat1 and this is my url:
www. site-name. com/[/url]cat1/post.htm
now i want to rename the category slug cat1 to cat2
so my post url change to:
www. site-name. com/cat2/post.htm

the problem is here:
now this 2 url are available and shows 1 thing:
www. site-name. com/cat1/post.htm
www. site-name. com/cat2/post.htm

how can i solve it?
this url shouldn`t active after changing the category slug:
www. site-name. com/cat1/post.htm

 

It may be in the cache and clear out later on.

do you have a Reliable refrence about it?

 

Clear your cache and cookies and try it again. It may be solved. If not, you may have to do a redirect from one to the other. It might help to post the URLs and see if we are getting the same thing.

its simple.
creat a post in cat1.
after publishing the post,
change the category slug.
test it plz.

Its better to share ur link maybe its server issue or something wrong with ur wp
