Okay, looking for a logo for an upcoming project. The website is a gaming blog that will offer the latest news, columns, reviews, previews, media, and all that good stuff! The name of the website is: Game Blurb Right now I'm open to pretty much open to any ideas at all. One idea I did have that someone might want to try if they want (or tell me it's been done before?) is one of those comment/talk boxes you see in TV shows with the name of the site inside of it. Might look neat. That's just an idea though - I want people to think outside the box. Creative and unique ideas. The one I like best in the next 48 hours (ending December 31, 2008 @ 12:30am EST) will get $25 via Paypal. Make sure you keep the PSD's handy in case I chose your design!
Working on it, but I have a few questions, what colors are you looking for? and also do you want the ".com" on the name? Let me know!
Colours - I'm open for anything really! As for attaching the .com to the name. Maybe you can try both ways and see which you thinks fit better and/or show me both? Either way. Looking forward to seeing the submissions.
Feedback: Zepia: Logo looks good overall - I like the fat lettering, it gives it some character. Maybe you could try some colour variations or turning the bubble so it's straight/flat on the page, as opposed to sideways. sarsh11: Love the colour combination's you have pictured. The gamepad logo, was that drawn or just taken off another image found on the net? Also, I do like the font but I feel this logo needs something 'more.' Colours are quite nice though - red/black look great together, as expected. Coden: The font looks gorgeous and turning Pacman into the "e" for "Game" is just a fantastic idea. Is that unique, or have you seen it elsewhere on the net before that might have inspired you there? The font choice and colour seems brilliant on that background you have, which well, seems unrelated. Try working something else in instead of that background you have. Perhaps try the chat bubble thing that others have or something new altogether. Make sure to keep the "e" though - that idea is great. Sargarika123: Nothing really jumps out with your logo for me. The bubble seems fine for the most part, aside from the use of what I think is too much gloss. Your most recent variation was best but it's still not holding up against some of the other entries for me. MiNdfr34k: No idea why you felt the need to PM me to update my thread with feedback less than 12 hours after creating making wild accusations: You wanted feedback? Here it is: both of your logos sucked and you stand absolutely zero chance of winning the contest. No suggestions I could provide could possibly change that. Next time sit tight, kiddo. Pixobox:: Nothing is standing out with this logo for me. The colours don't work together and it's too generic for my tastes. It needs to stand out, something that is sure to catch someones eye. Fantazio:: I love the creativity you demonstrated in this logo. I'm assuming the car launching off the "G" is symbolizing some sort of a ramp and/or racing game(s) of some kind. It makes the site seem more car related than anything though. I do like the integration of an icon though, so maybe think of someone more game-generic and toss that on? Anasone: Looks great so far. Some changes I would make though, personally, are updating the font on the word "Game" to something else - that one looks a little dull/boring despite the gradient you have used. Make it more lively! Try it with a stroke, maybe? The font choice for "blurb" and how it squeezes looks pretty neat, so let's maybe stick with that. Ploomer: Logo looks fantastic but it just doesn't seem game related, which is what we need. When I look at the logo the first thing that should jump into my head is video games and when I see a generic "GB" sure it might look great for branding some business cards but it's not throwing the idea of video games right into my head, like it should. Not sure what suggestions I can give, it's just not screaming "game" to me.
