    Hi,
Recently i read a SEO listing in freelance website. The owner states the following to be done for his website. He needs help in linkbuilding so he also puts the following conditions (then only i realize there are lot more than submitting websites to directories and article directories)

    1.One-way- permanent links only

2.PR2 and above on linked page only

3.No more than 25 links on each web page (where link is placed)

4.More than one link to the site from any single website will not be counted

5.Links must be submitted in a phased manner to avoid sudden link building activity by search engines

6.No links from groups of sites with same C-block IP

7.No link farms, forums, spam sites, or link directories

8.One link per domain (with anchor text)

so what all these? How come one can build link if he omits all the possible ways that we know (No link farms, forums, spam sites, or link directories).

What is meant by c-block IP.

SEO is getting more n more harder these days.

    Your help is much appreaciated.

    Thanks.

Sounds like he knows what he's after with his link building!

By the sounds of it, black/grey hat is out of the question, you'll have to get good links manually by contacting related sites and offering them a reason as to why they should link to this site (note 'manually'- not the spam crap and useless blog comments everyone gets from time to time).

Personally I think this is one of the ways link building should be done.

With regards to your second question "What is meant by c-block IP"- the C block is the third set of digits in the IP address. If two sites linking to a page have the same A, B & C blocks, this is an indication the sites might belong to the same owner and are on the same server (therefore possibly spam???).

My advice is don't go for the job if you don't know what a C block is, this guy knows what he wants and a load of blackhat spam links won't get you paid!

I've seen this same list and frankly he's asking for an awful lot from an outsourced campaign. its not that any one thing is impossible but put together, youve got your work cut right out.

for example, PR2 pages and above only, no more than 25 links per page, and only one link per domain..

you better make sure its good money per link.

Thats what he/she is asking us! make him/her understand...

    Listen MediaRays!

SEO is an art. Everyone use his/her own skills and creativity to get th results done. There is no rule of thumb for doing anything. If there were, everyone would be an expert! The points mentioned above are impressive (some of them valid, maybe). But....

Here are a few refutes of mine:

    - (No link farms, forums, spam sites, or link directories) These are top methods of getting in bound links so stick to them. Ask him if he has more ways to garner links, I'm sure a pinch of salt which may work for him/her only.

    - (PR2 and above on linked page only) The higher the toolbar PR the better it is always, but you don't know what the actual PR is so don't drool over it. The GREEN toolbar PR is always old.

    - (No more than 25 links on each web page (where link is placed)) No more than 25 links on each web page (where link is placed) I have doubts, what is the criteria of judging it. And if that page has PR 8 and 40 outbound links, won't you place your link over there?

Here is an excerpt from a previous DP thread about C class IPs, read carefully.

So getting links from different C class IP's is preferred method for link building. Why? you don't want search engines to note that your 12 websites are hosted on same C classes (giving an impression of deliberate SEO effort)

    Thank you

But SEO isn't about instant gratification. Like others the way they expect. They though that there is Magic in SEO. LOL
