You know I have this idea that the person doing it may br a part of Google team who know what is where and why it is there. So he/she might turn out to be NOT GUILTY by the TOS

Google makes money with this spam via adwords

Why should they be in any hurry to stop it?

Also webmasters like us make up a TINY amount of total google usersso its not like they have anythign to lose by ignoring us.

Also I think there are different spammers at work. They all generate random .info domains and populate with keywords. Upload them to servers and then do some other stufff and ta-da instant google indexing. Stopping all of them will be VERY hard even for google.

I don't think this facts have any impact its not hard to purchase a domain lets say googlegoesdownagain.com and set it up on the server they currently have the data and then submit a couple of sitemaps and directories as they did before....

It likely violates the rules of most advertising providers, including adsense. Whether he gets away with it or not, who knows.

As for Google, it does not violate anything, because google is taking your pages from your site. You are not under any obligation to display or provide data to google in any particular manner. It all lays on the feet of google in terms of what they allow in their index.

Well one good thing that came out of this is that it prooves googlebot isnt really that smart. If it was it would have known better than to index so many pages for a new domain in under a month. Matt Cutts stresses natural linking and that selling/buying text links will get you banned but if google can't tell apart guestbook/blog links or obvious spam domains how are they going to detect link selling/buying and even worse how will googlbot bot define "relevent" linking?

don't worry, google knows about them.. and they dont need people like Nintendo to report them, they need someone to make an automatic reliable algo to detect these sites

Curious...today that site t1ps2see or whatever it was has an alexa ranking of 2,965. If google banned it (which apparently it did). Where are these visitors coming from to that site?

After all is said and done, can't these sites be called longtailing on steroids & spam? Since the site seems to use primarily 4 and 5 word keyphrases, the spammer seems to desire longtailing as a method to avoid major competitive phrases and stick to easy ones that are easy to rank for. There is a lesson there somewhere.

They certainly were going for the longer keyword phrases, but even so I think one of the more impressive aspects of this whole deal is how they generated 100's of millions if not billions of keyword phrases in the first place.

Don't be so modest. There were hundreds of pizza sauce recipe variant pages, hundreds of acc0modation variant pages, hundreds of variant p0ker pages.. so if you only had 10k pages, you only must have covered about 12 subjects. C'mon now... 10k pages that do not always rank will not get you to 1,620 Alexa.
