the point is, if it's so amazing, why are you telling everyone? if i stumbled on something valuable and the next big thing, i would be investing all my money and getting more and more into it and not tell a soul and make a bigger profit. but that isn't what is happening, because it's crap; just like the rest of these new TLDs.

It's a place where people pump and dump the latest trends time and time again. Good try on dodging though. Those who are making money aren't talking about how. Those who aren't are the loudest about new things; each and every time.

Sorry, I've been around long enough to see this over and over for each TLD and people getting suckered into it. You and your grown up 'domaineers' can go waste all their money. For those who are on the fence, they should be able to see both sides and figure out why people are saying what. I've got no investment in any of the new TLDs and I strongly advocate not speculatively investing in them unless you really are willing to lose the money you put forth. This whole bubble talk, next big thing, garbage needs to stop when they clearly are speculative plays not mass adoption, which has still yet to be seen and the only ccTLD to brand itself semi productively has been .TV, and that hasn't really been a large success for domain investors because of tiered pricing. That was probably the smartest move on their part, prohibitive enough to keep speculation down but not so high that end users aren't afraid to adopt.

Being around does not guarantee that you are the "know it all". If you have something constructive to contribute, by all means do it. Otherwise, take your lecture to millions of other threads around the forum. Its up to us to spend our money on any TLD's we want and you for once can not stop us. Hell, I can purchase a .tk domain for a million...its my money. Call it absurd, but I know how to deal with my money and choices. So bug off dude!!!

Spending money any way one chooses doesn't represent smart decisions either. I am not stopping you from spending your money, simply adding reason to such pump and dump mentality which abounds with many newbies to domaining.

Ok, I don't want to start a fight here, but people like you (we call then know it all) always deserve something "extra". Take a walk dude.. and leave us to do whatever we want with OUR money...

I registered some .me my only concern is how the SEs will see it and also my customers if they will remember the domain with .me since its not a usual extension, I think organic results will be good tho

It's your money, but when you shout about it and try and convince others, it's their money. Not your money.

Kohasi this thread -> "DOTME Domains Surpasses Everybodys Expectations in Domain Growth" shows stats which proves a point.

Do you have anything to prove your point ?

I think .me rocks only for the reason that dot me stands for an identity which is very important in the domain world.

    Regards,
    ASHISH T.

I also really like you can use .Me in English, Spanish and Italian.
Thats 100 Million's more that can use .me.

.Me is perfect for branding and it very easy to remember .me

How many peaple have a TV station out there?
it kind of sets a limit to .tv succes

    Also words like Date.me ; Youand.me, LasVegas.me, kiss.me, jazz.me, Rock.me, China.me, Email.me,
loan.me, model.me , bush.me, clinton.me, Peter.me, travelwith.me ARE FANTASTIC for branding and super easy to remember - there 100.000's fantastic .me names out there.

Yes the internet is all about YOU and .ME :
    myspace, facebook etc.....

Like the big Boss from Apple corporation said the generation now is the ME generation.;)

And then he bought me.com. :( Branding requires money. Lots of money. Money that big corps aren't dropping on .montenegro. I don't see this as very different from all the other new TLDs people want to introduce. I will agree with you that .TV is limited, but limited to visual media and the letters TV are recognized across the world and associated with it. Not to mention a lot of the big corps have picked up their .TVs and advertise them. That is HUGE compared to any other tld besides the original 3 (CNO). I don't have any stake in .TV either, but it's the only tld which is actually successfully branding itself into consumer minds. no big money, no success, just speculation.

My point has been proven with virtually every single TLD since inception beyond com/net/org. Go study each tld launch and see what happened, the easiest to see would be .mobi, but there are others if you really want to learn.

.com Fanboy dude, good job at avoiding the question. Apart from your lack of knowledge shown in all your posts here, you have nailed home another fact...there is no shortage of people in the world who would go about poking their noses in topics they virtually have no knowledge off... haha

Thats exactly what i have done and it is LOOKING SUPER good for .ME if you look at facts and compare them to other.
Maybe you should do they same before you post.

Look i know kohashi it can be super hard to see a success and not be on the success train.
Some peaple just cant take it, and my best advice is get on the .ME train or go use your time on something ells than bashing .ME with no good reasons.:)
