I know anyone these days can make money online but who here owns a registered business? It can be work at home or a store front. I'm curious to see what everyone does around here. I myself recently started up a web/graphic design agency and we also do printing. We are located in Sherman Oaks, CA. If you don't own a business...what's your regular job?
I teach alternative education for high school kids who get kicked out of school. It is challenging and then my Online business helps me unwind.
Just because it's not "registered" doesn't mean it's not an "actual business". People saying a business is not a "real busines" or an "actual business" without registration need to understand things from every standpoint. I run a business myself, have done so since 2002. Is it a "registered business"? No, I have no need to. Is it an "actual business" ? Of course it is. I pay taxes just like everyone else, I pay more, in fact, as a self employed individual, but there is no doubt that it's an "actual business". What does everyone do around here? You'll find a mixup of a lot of stuff, honestly. Myself? I handle Linux servers and programming for a few clients, as well as forum management. I am one of the few people who can understand things both from the programming standpoint AND the server admin standpoint.
I do online marketing for monthly clients, mostly in the real estate industry. It is how I make a living and consider it a business. I am looking at training some employees to do some of the work or outsource it but have been running around trying to keep up with the work ahead of me.
I own my own business but for a while I was doing both the self employed scene, and working at Staples business depot as a computer service tech. Now I'm happy to be fully fledged into my business though, it's grown quickly and we have a few employees.
I own a small trucking company and specialize in oversize freight like excavaters, construction equipment, farm implements and such. That's the business that pays the bills. I do online stuff like domain sales, script sales and such as a hobby, as it certainly doesn't pay the bills, but makes enough to pay for my domain renewals and hosting. Besides, it's a nice diversion for me.
It is interesting...so many different professions yet all also doing work online. This forum should have a business-to-business section.
I own a registered business but that business does not need an office or a building. I do what most people around here do. Have websites, use adsense, adengage, sell scripts, etc. I guess It wouldn't be considered a business because the only reason I have it is so I can claim what I have to so I don't get shot down by the Gov't.
I own a firm that specialize in job outsourcing. Its kind of company searching for worker will directly find us coz we provide them with quality worker with reasonable price
