Why Israel is starting war right after Christmas and before New Eve? Why?
Why didn't they wait for at least 2-3 more weeks?

So they shouldn't ruin the party for terrorists? I'm sorry, I'll make sure they'll attack after the terrorists had their fun.

    Why not?

Do you suggest 2-3 more weeks of Hamas rockets being launched at Israel?

Please tell us why Israel should wait? What does Christmas have to do with anything?

What did they accomplish by stopping their "fun"?

Nothing, just got more hatred and international condemnation... Actions like these don't help Israel ... don't fool yourself.
I know Hamas is not a friendly oraganisation too and that they are unti-democratic, but the way Israel is handling them, by killing hundreds of innocent civilians shows the little regard for civilians Israel has ... pure selfishness ... makes bad Karma .....

I don't know what the hell you are talking about. The only thing stopped was Hamas' constant attacks on Israel. What are you talking about "fun"? Who cares about a holiday when your country is being attacked daily by a terrorist group sworn to your destruction?

You say hundreds of innocent civilians are killed, but this is just pure lies. Not even Hamas says that. They put the number closer to 20, compared to 250+ dead terrorists. The dead civilians are Hamas' responsibility. Where was your post last week telling Hamas to stop attacking Israel? Where was your concern about innocent civilians then? I am sick of the people who come out of the woodwork to complain about the response to terrorist attacks. Go cry about it somewhere else.

It's a surprise to start a war during Hannukah when everybody thinks they won't....

However, the first question that I have is... Who really started this thing? During the "Cease Fire" terrorists were consistently launching rockets into Israel. Later Hamas decided that the "Cease Fire" would end. Neither of those actions were on the part of Israel.

The better question to ask is, "Why did they decide to retaliate so quickly after the announced end to the cease fire by Hamas?"

With so much in common, surely there must be a way for the language of peace and compassion to be heard.

wow nice reasoning!!! So, u meant to say they should've waited for the terrorists to pound rockets on their cities for another 2-3 more weeks ???????? yeah good reason...why didn't Israel wait ??? I want to know .. can't they afford to get pounded by hamas rockets for another few weeks ..... silly Israel .... :)

on second thought I wish even India was like Israel .... half of the terrorism probs would be solved then ....

Realm, as expected you just give a pass to his made up numbers but want to challenge me. So be it.

killing at least 230 people in one of the Mideast conflict's bloodiest assaults in decades. The government said the open-ended campaign was aimed at stopping rocket attacks that have traumatized southern Israel.

Most of the casualties were security forces, but Palestinian officials said at least 15 civilians were among the dead. More than 400 people were also wounded. source

Dr Moawiya Hassanein, the head of Gaza emergency services, put the toll at 225 dead source

Egypt on Sunday blamed Hamas for not letting hundreds of Palestinians wounded by Israeli air strikes leave the Gaza Strip for treatment, with dozens of empty ambulances waiting on the border. source

I see you want to challenge me but not his absurd claim of hundreds of dead civilians. Care to show a single article that says anything of the sort or are you going to admit you are just full of it?

    2 weeks = 14 days
    Hamas fires 60 rockets/day
    14 x 60 = 840 rockets

How would your country react to 840 rockets?

I corrected that for you. Free of charge. No point in rewriting history while it's taking place. Hamas started this, Israel will end it.

Waiting any longer would have messed up the comedic timing of this comic.

Will see the results of those attacks later.
    Violence breeds more violence.
The terrorism in India is completely different of that of Hamas' terrorism.
Palestinians are under occupation and have no country in their own land, they have that excuse to attack Israel since by international law a country occupied by foreign forces has the right of self defense. Anyway IMO they should be protesting in a peaceful way, not by killing people.
In India it is tottally barbaric terrorism unprovoked in any way.

The recepie for peace is Jesus commandment: "Love one another."
Neither Israel nor Hamas believes in it..... nor Bush...

I hope Obama changes that.... Maybe Israel is in a rush to hurt Hamas while Bush is still in office....
But again brutal violence will bring bad Karma, there is God who is watching everything every second and everyone is responsible for his actions.
