In terms of quality, speed, and cost, which outsourcing site has the better freelancers/professionals/companies, please share your experiences

I've always used GetAFreelancer.com as it has a great user interface, many designers and developers available and the prices are always cheap :)

I would go with elance, as the last time I used GAF, the provider kept stalling time because he couldnt get the job done, as he assured me in the first place.

Happens the other way round, too. Registered on GAF as a programmer. Placed a bit and won it a week later. Another few days past the customer has canceled his project and I then had to get in touch with GAF staff and bother about canceling the $5 fee that I as a developer was required to pay them for the project. A waste of time.

it seems like elance is good with speed, but costly, and GAF is low cost, but a bit slow

what about odesk or guru, odesk appeals to me b/c they have a very nice project management user interface, has any1 had any exp. with these other two

Normally i will first go for guru first then go to other site.
This is due to i always get the cheaper price quote at guru and the quality is good.

Waste of time for developers. And you won't find many good developers there.

GetAFreelancer is the best one, hands down. I've had many scripts created from their for dirt cheap and they were worth it.

Yes, article writers and all US writers too. That way I don't have to deal with grammar and spelling issues. They are all starting out freelancing, so the pay is not as expensive as with someone who has a lot of SEO writing experience. The only thing I've had to do was edit the articles with more SEO keywords.

    "where? GAF?"

Yes, it's a great (read cheap) for clients to do some basic articles, scripts, sites, etc. But highly unlikely for coders, designers and so on, why work for peanuts ?:)
