This isn't possible for the majority of people in this thread. iWhiC was primarily a proxy website hosting provider and as per your terms & conditions this is not allowed. It's always worth looking out for this before trying any new host, many don't allow proxy sites because of the excessive CPU consumption.

 

rsdarkness is just a reseller of resellerpanel.com. I doubt he has even read the TOS

Although, I could say that a dedicated server would be a wise choice for proxy websites.

YES< i have read the TOS. I refer to it fairly often.

I am one of those nice resellers who also use the services that I resell.

I would not sell anything that I do not trust.

A VPS would even do for most proxy needs. You just have to be careful and optimize it well.

 

I never heard a single warning about IwhiC you tosser, and with good reason. They were a great company but now they have sold to Ahosting who are a not so great company.

Seems like im not getting any compensation because its not realted to "my server" . My site was hosted on liberty which was down way too much this past week, not even an %80 percent uptime.

 

You guys might want to have a look at Monsterprox. They are the only quality proxy host provider who have solid 100% uptime and they do not oversell their plans. Other than Monsterprox and Techentrance I dont see any others as good as these guys who are specialized in proxy hosting. Overselling is common and acceptable for shared hosting, but overselling for proxy hosting is gonna cause heavy server problems for those proxy hosts who engage in proxy overselling plans.

 

You are the owner of MonsterProx. Why do you refer to them as a 3rd party ?
Who are you to say that other proxy hosting providers oversell ?

Do you know our server expenses ? Do you monitor our uptime ?

A "company" which hosts 12 websites should shut up & manage their own "business".

Many website hosting companies oversell.. BUT, providing that the client is happy and no issues arise... I cannot see an issue.

Although, i do believe that it should be avoided at all costs.

That's very presumptive of you, I know there are at least 4-5 proxy hosting services that provide very good service to their customers. I think claiming 100% uptime is on par with people who claim "unlimited" resources, it just can't be reasonably expected. You shouldn't claim that other proxy hosts oversell when I doubt you have any true idea of their capacity.

 

iShan, who says I am the owner of Monsterprox? I am a client of Monsterprox and enjoy their hosting, I got in when they had the 1st month free offer. I have tried different proxy hosts and from what I have experienced through DP proxy hosts and a few other established proxy hosts that I will not name promise more than they can deliver. Go look at DP hosting thread, you see lots of proxy hosts selling oversold plans and they crash and burn within a few weeks when their server gets filled up full. It's just my 2 cents simply that proxy hosts cannot afford to oversell their bandwidth while shared hosts can afford to do that.

Oh by the way if you think I am the owner of Monsterprox just because I promote their links in my siggy, I suggest you have a look at the proxy discussion thread here in DP, there are several others who have the exact same signatures as me.

My apologies though, I should rephrase it as them being the best host I have used so far. I do read up about servers and stuff before going into the proxy niche, sorry if I offended anyone. Lets stick back to topic. Peace.

 

Sorry to hear about this. I have a reseller with iwhic and sure hope there will be no probs. Also experiencing frequent downtime but can still handle it. Hope everything goes well with Aimee , Jason.Cheerio

 

Sites are still down randomly, no credit is OR ANYTHING given.

 

I bailed out to Lacehost and am very glad of it. I recommend you guys do the same.

 

All my sites are down till now, Support ticket is still unanswered I am moving to another host, freaking iwhic and ahosting. I am also moving to lacehost.
