Helllo everyone, i am just wandering, out of all non-indians here do anyone ever watch Hindi (Indian, Bollywood) movies like we indians watch hollywood?? Did you ever heard about any Indian movies?? Thanx in advance
I've heard of Bollywood, but I don't really understand it, much less have I seen any Bollywood movies. It would be appreciated if you could offer a brief explanation...
there is a indian channel, i saw a movie over there i really donno what's the movie about cause it is just singing and dancing, i believe the story is being told by the song, however, i don't understand indian so i can't follow the story
Well bollywood is same as hollywood.. In USA the movies which realeased are called hollywood movies and indian movies are Bollywood.. i am not sure if i really helped with your answers because i am poor at english.. but in short English USA movies are Hollywood movies and Indian hindi movies are Bollywood movies Thanx
I've heard of Bollywood movies, but as I am uninterested in hindi singing and smashing of pots I don't watch them.
No offence, but to me Indian movies are like Romanian ones: just a joke. Exceptions only confirm the rule.
I have the India channel from Sky which has a million movies but I can't stick with them more then 2 minutes. Can't remember the last time a Bollywood movie was in a theater here (I'm pretty sure never) Actually this movie was but it made like $50 - Is that Bollywood?
Hello yfs1 , its bollywood movie, The great indian celebrity ( former Miss World) acted in that Aishwariya Rai. So atleast some of you people do know about bollywood.. lolz
Whilst flicking through sky i've seen a few, but they always seem to be musicals? with loads of singing? Im not against movies where I have to read the subtitles, but I can't stand musicals - makes me think of the film grease *shudder*
Indian movies were a craze in Romania years ago, even now some TV channels show Bollywood productions. But I personally can't manage to sit and watch all the drama. Or the dancing. Or..
I agree with everyone... because indian movies are fully loaded with songs ( to be honest indians are fan of songs:d i think)... and Hollywood movies usually doesnt have any songs so people get bored easily.. * PS--> please tell me i am giving many replies on this message i dont want to get red rep more
Is that an actual titel or are you reffering to "Get the Munchies" - I hope there is a sequel coming my way!! By your reasoning, The Simpsons is a Bollywood TV Show - lol
You Guessed right, There are songs in each Bollywood movie which all add up to make nearly an hour. Half of the movie is songs. And Most of those Make a story in the movie
The actual title is "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle". The UK title is "Harold & Kumar Get the Munchies". Perhaps they felt you'd have no idea what White Castle is. Oddly enough, the Simpsons have made references to Bollywood, and in a recent episode in which Homer went to India, they ended with a musical number.
