search "free samples" on gogle a and you will see ad with domain SimplyFreeSamples(dot)com. PLEASE Don't click on it(we don't want our fellow marketer to have extra expenses) but i will just tell you when i clicked, it redirects to ML affiliate offer called free healthy samples, it is an zip submit offer that pays like $1.15 or something. The MOST interesting thing is that I noticed his affiliate id on the address bar, and i remembered that i saw this id already somehwere. I saw it on tylercruz.com, on the right side of the main page. And it shows over there that this same affilate made like 21k this month so far... I'm just wondering, is this 21k made with this offer alone and how the heck he got first page ad on google for the offer that pays him only $1.15. Any ideas how he may have got on the first page? It should cost like $4-$5 to get the ad on that position. What do you think? How he makes it profitable.
Most probably that he has a lot of other ads and campaigns running if he actually makes $21k a month. And regarding the ppc costs - it may very be that his ad is doing very good and he got a great score - thus lower ppc costs. Logically it would be a stupid idea to keep an ad if it costs $4 per click and the deal is for $1.15, so I think that he's making a nice profit
The difference between a high Quality Score and a low quality score is huge. If you have an "Okay" quality score, you might pay $1 a click. If you have a "Great" quality score, you might pay $0.10 a click. Can you imagine how many businesses will be profitable at $.10 a click but not $1 a click? Learn to get good quality scores. It's one of the most important skills in AdWords.
It's not black and white with adwords quality score, sometimes when you followed all the steps that should get you a high quality score it still gives you a low QS. It either you have to be lucky to hit it or you should know some loophole in the system.
What steps are you following? I guess I just pretty much disagree with you there. I know quite a few marketers who can get high Quality Scores for their keywords 90+% of the time. I've personally worked with some of these marketers and got high QSs for my own projects as well.
the 21k is not all profit. He probably has a 10% to 20% profit margin meaning he makes 21k but spends probably 15k to 19k to get it. also since he is such a high volume affiliate marketer his payout is probably closer to $2 or $3 per submit.
Yes, $21k is not necessarily his profit. He could be losing money if he spends over 21k on PPC. And I must agree with Derek that it is possible to always get High Quality Score if you know how but unfortunately I'm unable to do so every time.
having a great quality score lowers the minimum bid to low bids such as $0.10 but that only means that you need to pay $0.10 for your ad to go live. You might still need to pay $1 per click to have your ad appear on the first page. Obviously optimizing for google score saves you money but its almost impossible to pay only $0.10 per click for position 1 for a highly competitive keyword.
