Hey everyone! How many millions visit Youtube daily? A fair few! Well, how effective is it as a marketing tool? This idea has been bugging me for a while now. So I set of to this trail. Off I went to my "trusty" Movie Maker and created a 3 minute video about my website, Domain Left, a simple movie of just animated text, to see what, if any impact it would have. I shall be using the normal keywords I use to promote the site in there, but it's different from any of the other methods since it lets me provide something animated, and if somebody can endure 30 seconds of that movie then they should hopefully be persuaded to visit the website! So I have uploaded the video to Youtube for now, although I plan on placing it in many more locations in order to give it as much exposure as possible. I shall be updating my Domaining Blog over at http://www.domainleft.com/ (Ironically ) with any news of this trail and whether it was worth the time and effort or not! intresting. though, i think it will work better if you would use a different title. A title more likely someone would search for on youtube, because then they will look at your movie. i think it will have more 'views'. im going to follow your blog for a while to see how it works out.
I have been using youtube to promote my music related websites. I ussualy create photoshop pcitures, integrate them with movie maker and some new song, uploading them to youtube, and insert my link in the descripion. It worked very well for me. Dont know about other projects ... didnt try them, but my guess is that with an atractive title, you can get what you are hopping for. Best of luck
