Hey Guys n Gals Article marketing, is new to me. I was wondering what people though was a good length for an article? Is something between 200-500 good enough?
i use somewhere between 300-400 . Depends on what you are promoting really. Try not to be long descriptive, but also not too short
It's not just about the length of the article but the value add that the content brings to the site. So u might want to focus on that instead of just the word count.
Read your articles at a somewhat slow pace, and time yourself. If it is no more than, say, a 7-minute read, it is fine. But, if the article is good, I mean REALLY good, it can go past, say, 10 minutes. I read one that took me 15 minutes, but it was really worth reading. If you can, put it on your site, and then see how long they stay there. If many of them leave before reading the whole thing, you need to improve the article before publishing it elsewhere.
It should be long enough to do it's job (inform, entertain, presell your product, etc.), and no longer. Some article directories have a minimum length requirement though (400 words, for example), so if I'm planning to submit the article, I keep it around 400 words length.
Do any of you really know how long a 300, 400 or 500 word article really is, or are you posting, JUST to post?
