I hear that directory submissions have been taken out of Google webmaster guidelines now.

Yes they have. I don't recommend submitting to directories and I don't use directories in my monthly High Page Rank backlinks packets.

Yeah apparently they have... but I don't see why!
They even remove DMOZ from their guidelines, but still use that directory to get the majority of their information. Google's up to something..AGAIN!

    Great article.

Although I was already following some of the strategies it was nice to read that I was doing something right. It can be a lonely place when trying to promote your website and a great comfort just to hear someone echo something you are already doing (when you might be questioning whether or not to give up) and also provide some new ones.

    Thanks

Jimbo - that's an really good point and I cannot agree with you anymore!
It just feels good when someone conveys that message "your doing the right thing" and it's a motivational. I hope to achieve that status with TeenProBlogger and motivate all my readers meet their expectations and achieve their goals.

Hmm, I still don't buy it - cause google isn't the only Search Engine out there, even though it's pretty much the biggest.

I don't see what's wrong with it..what's going to happen to the hundreds of thousands of directories on the net? A very drastic change by Google..
