.ME DOMAINS SURPASSES EVERYBODYS EXPECTATIONS IN DOMAIN GROWTH

The new internet domain darling Dot ME has surpasses everybody's expectations in growth.

While there are¨many websites and businesses out there that are quickly moving to secure the .me versions of their current .com domain names, at the same time it is also quite obvious that .me is not going to compete that much with .com. Instead, .me is hoping to do for web 2.0 what .com did for the original internet when it first came about. The new internet is all about social interaction and creating interest from a grassroots level. It is all about "me" in terms of websites like YouTube, MySpace, Facebook and all of the others and this is exactly what the .me domain name has a huge advantage, plus they are perfect for branding. Rather than facing .com on its own turf, .ME intends to create its own home field advantage in this area and act as a compatriot to .com rather than a competitor. It is this different approach that has made DotME the new internet darling.

    DOTME has amazed exsperts with:

World record numbers of new ME domains sold, already over 3 million Me pages in google, plus after just 5 month there is already 274 Me websites in alexa's top 1 million website list! Compare this to other newly launched domain extentions:

    - .ME has already 274 sites in top 1 Milllion websites.
    - .ASIA has 88 in top 1 million. - dot .Asia even launched 3-4 month before .ME did.
    - .Mobi has 227 in top 1 million - dot .Mobi even launched 2 years before .ME did.

DotME domains has surpassed everybody's expectations, and more and more internet, domain exsperts are now predicting .ME will become the 2 most valuable domain extension within a few years.

If you have not secured you're DotMe domain yet? maybe you should consider doing it soon. The Internet is all about You and .ME - and the DotME extension sure is a fast and strong growing baby.

One thing is for sure the internet is all about YOU & .ME

don't compare .tel with other normal tlds. .tel is part of the global online directory that is totally managed by the registrar. You cannot host a normal website/blog/social network, etc on this domain extension.

Check here for more info on .tel domain extension:
    Why .tel?

Me thinks that .me will not even be able to beat .info. Surely it is better than .mobi or .asia but that doesn't take much...com/net/org will still rule the market.

its not about which domain extension beating which. .com is huge because of its ability to bring "type-in" or accidental traffic.

all other extensions can be developed to bring in organic traffic, and it does not matter if it is .info, .me, .mobi or even .tk.

Before reading this post, I already bought 4 .me domains. After reading the post, I think I will be shopping for more .me domains. I hope the price will go down. It's quite expensive these days.

Whoever doesn't think .me is a success is a fool. The numbers speak for themselves. There are lists of 30-40 .me's that have sold in the 5 and 6 figures just a month after it came out. If that isn't success, I don't know what is. They even blew away the .mobi auctions.

I think "success" is somewhat relative.

Success in quantity of .me domains sold is one thing.

Successful ranking in the search engines is another.

And getting .me in the minds of the general public is another.

I think, particularly when it comes to the last - that most "normal" persons/consumers have no idea that .me even exists.

Know why .me is not ranking good in SE's? Its just because the competitive .com counterparts have established themselves in the first pages of SERP from years and years of SEO enhancements. Just give .me time, they would definitely be on par with all other TLD's, as far as organic traffic is concerned.

Yes, its still difficult to get .me in the general public minds, as type in traffic would, in most cases, type domain.com rather than domain.me. But if you manage to create a website that is SEO efficient, you would have no problems in taking a share of search traffic with any extensions, even if its .tk or .co.cc.

bandwagoning is a great way to create a pyramid scheme/ponzi scheme, the people at the bottom always lose. if you bought it, it's always in your interest to push it as hard as you can so you aren't at the bottom.

.ME sucks. No TLD has even come close to any market power compared to .COM. The few big sales in these new extensions are just huge speculative plays early on. Registrations != success. Look at what happened with 4 letter .com, even .com bandwagoning fails. 3 letter .com dropping across the board. Prices are driven by demand in the long run, bubbles are powered by speculators, bubbles pop.

Yes Prices are driven by demand, and if you ask godaddy and they have 27% of the domain market share - one of the top selling domains is Dot.Me.

Plus all the new .me pages in google.
Its like growing 200.000 every 4-5 days AMAZING!

.me is fantastic name to brand: date.me, insure.me, youand.me
contact.me, vegas.me, china.me so many great .me names.

Plus as we can see in alaxa dot.me is DOING SUPER SUPER GOOD after just 5 months:

World record numbers of new ME domains sold, already over 3 million Me pages in google, plus after just 5 month there is already 274 Me websites in alexa's top 1 million website list! Compare this to other newly launched domain extentions:

    - .ME has already 274 sites in top 1 Milllion websites.
    - .ASIA has 88 in top 1 million. - dot .Asia even launched 3-4 month before .ME did.
    - .Mobi has 227 in top 1 million - dot .Mobi even launched 2 years before .ME did.

For me above numbers and facts simply talk for them self, .ME is becoming more and more popular;):)

And Quantcast shows 0 .me in top 1 million. However, there are some mobi. Alexa is an easily skewed webmaster metric who are the only people using .ME. Discuss.

Is it possible that Quantcast has not updated there extension list to include dotME?

I know some people tend not to trust the Alexa rank, because they say/think it is easy to manipulate. And maybe it is.. but why would someone want to manipulate it? So they can get a better price for the domain maybe?
If that's the reason, then I do not think the owner of "domain.me" has any intention of selling there domain, and it comes in on the Alexa at 110K.
Google have given it a toolbar PR-6, and Quantcast say "Sorry, we don't have enough data to profile that site."

I think Alexa has a better handle on traffic stats than people give them credit for.

DotME has been out now for about 6 months?
And if Quantcast hasn't been able to figure out how to accommodate dotME in there system, then I would not rely too much on the data they provide.

    Sharing my opinion.

    Cheers
    James
