Adsense tip to boost clicks

Here is a quick adsense tip that I have implemented into all of my websites and blogs now which has produced dramatic ctr on all my pages and boosted my income.

The tip that I want to tell you is to have 33x250 boxes directly above the fold (the first part of the webpage before you have to scroll down) and on the left a text ad box which is blended to your websites text links and on the right an image ad.

Like the example from one of my websites below:

All I have above the ad boxes is my header which is the same for each of my websites.

You can see here that when a visitor comes to my websites the first thing they will see is that picture above which is related to my website about blocked drains, the ad on the left in many peoples eyes is actual links on my website and so they will click through on them which increases my click throughs and my earnings.

Put this to the test yourself.

You may get banned for being too much of a MFA.

I don't know about that. I've seen this kind of placement on a lot of sites, popular sites, and I think as long as the site has relevant quality content there shouldnt be a problem.

I have had my ad placements like this on around 6 of my websites for over a year now with no problems.

    Test yourself and see.

It works, and I haven't been banned. I see no reason why you would get banned.

It looks like an ingenious way of placing the ads and the combination of image and text ads side by side will definitely work wonders to improve your CTR. Thanks for the share :)

Around 70% of my visitors click on to the ads, where others will read through my webpage and click shorter blended text links.

8% CTR is very good. Its low enough not to raise any flags at Google (not as you probably have anything to worry about though?).

However, I know Google are against having your own images close to the text ads, what about image ads close to text ads.....isnt this the same kind of thing?

I think the idea is a great idea, as long as its not against Google TOS.

Well the spirit of Google's guidelines is not to "trick" users into clicking and this is a bit too close for my comfort, personally. 8% is high but not too high, I agree. Still, just because something isn't exactly literally forbidden in the guidelines doesn't mean it doesn't go against its spirit and you may get trouble down the road... or smart pricing may rear its ugly head.

You may have a problem bcs. that is image near text ad. But then again if you are big enough you can put even own image near google ad without any problem. You can see it everywhere around the globe on big portals.

I tried your strategy. It worked. I managed a few more clicks. Do you suggest that having a text ad next to an image ad gets more clicks. Or having an image ad next to an image ad gets more clicks?

Also, how can I get more relevant ads... just a quick question?

    BTW thanks for the strategy.

Thanks for sharing. I have been using text ads next to image ads lately and it has been pretty good from there on. I think this text/image method has been proven to increase your chances of getting clicks.
