No Google Page Rank Showing for Any Websites

    Hi:

I'm in the middle of doing some competitive research for a client, and a key component of the research is checking the Page Rank of competitors' backlinks.

But for some reason, last night and today every website I look at for PR shows as "unranked" in all 3 tools I have to measure PR: Search Status bar, SEO for Firefox and SEO Spyglass. Even sites like Yahoo.com show no PR for me.

I live in Argentina, so I called a friend in the US and his same tools all do show PR.

I'm very concerned, as I can't do my research.

Any ideas why I am experiencing the problem? Can Google restrict an individual user's access to see PR , or restrict by user's location? Could there be a problem with my computer?

    Thanks.

No need to worry dude, it's just YOU ;)
Try to restart your computer or simply remove your browser cache, and you will be able to complete your research..

Working fine with me on a lot of websites including mine in various Google DC's..

I cleared my cache and restarted - still no PR showing. Tried my other computer too...same problem, so the same problem on 2 different computers!

I don't see any reason why google need to restrict access to check PR. How about using other computers not sharing the same router?

Well, I unplugged my cable modem and then plugged it in again...and PR started showing...20 minutes later it stopped showing. Tried unplugging the modem again etc, but this time still no PR.

My second computer which I rarely use anymore is connecting by wireless to a neighbor's unsecure connection...and it now does show PR in one tool but not in the other 2 tools I use. An hour ago it didn't show PR in any tool.

    I'm confused and frustrated.....

not sure if this has anything to do with it but i checked a few sites on Page Rank and most of the datacenters are down. Looks like Page Rank update is finally upon us.

If you're pulling a lot of queries from the same Ip to toolbarqueries.google.com, after about 50 or so, they will cut you off.

Try a proxy from your computer and see what happens

The problems started yesterday after I installed SEOSpyglass, When I ran that program PR was showing but after a while it stopped. Same today...I ran SEOSpyglass for one small backlink analysis (5 minutes) and it gathered PR data...but when I started a second analysis the problem started again....and remains.

So perhaps the PR queries I'm running in SEOSpyglass are having Google cut me off.

So, if that's the case, how can I do backlinks analysis (I used to use SEOElite but it doesn't work any more...their support says its a problem with the Yahoo API key is a Yahoo problem...

Regarding trying a proxy from my computer, I'm not sure how to do that...

I would try any free tool that you find after typing in "PR Checker".. Here is one for example : http://validrank.com/

(I have no affiliation with that website - but it is a viable option)

Thanks c0r, but I'm trying to figure out how to make my existing three PR checking tools work - and what is causing the problem.

You can reinstall your toolbars, and everything will be fine.....also cached and remove temporary files!

Actually I think the problem is SEOSpyglass - apparently running more than 1000 backlink queries for PR will result in Google not allowing an IP address access to PR figures, temporarily.

Yes, but one correction - not SEO SpyGlass is "the problem", but the excessive number of queries you addressed to Google - any software would get a temporary penalization from Google for that. SEO Spyglass, however, gives you a unique opportunity to use Human Emulation to make your queries timed and thus more naturally-looking for Google. You can enable it and stay safe ;)

Thanks for using our software, btw. Hope you enjoy the power and features scope!

Yes, I have enabled the Human Evaluation features and am doing a search right now ...hopefully that will solve the problem.
