I think PR is indeed important, especially when you are into making money from your website. Having PR will earn you a steady income by means of advertising / link sales. PR also increase the value of a website when trying to sell. Personally I think it should be the aim of every webmaster to work towards building a good PR for their sites.
Then your intentions arent to build a website for surfers but one of only making profit from googles PR.... Something they forbid Good luck to you thx malcolm
Not quite so. You can indeed build a website for surfers. By working, additionally on improving pagerank your resale value increases once you decide to sell the site or generate more income from it. Look, at the end of the day not many webmasters stick with a site forever, some may need to sell theirs at some stage. Others are into website flipping and want to make as much profit from their sites. Just imagine building a website, attracting tens of thousands of visitors, acheiving a pagerank 6 - what are you chances of success with such site in generating income? Not even mentioning selling it...
Well im not disputing its affects, as everything you mentioned is accurate and true but my point is those that OBSESS over it and manipulate it.. This includes buying dropped domains for the PR only as well as opening new PR threads in hopes of getting views to the thread. In other words enough about the freakin PR already! I agree 100% thx malcolm
