Is Hostgator A Scam?

    I am think of joining Hostgator. Have you ever had any problems with them?

    No they are not, i beleive that they are the most reputed Hosting provider from last few years.
    Other than them Hostmonster, and Bluehost are serving pretty well.

    I've had a HostGator shared hosting account for more than 3 years and have never had a problem.

    hostgator is mostly great for the hosting. i had small problems with them but they solved it quickly

    Since 2 years I've my sites hosted with Hostgator (shared hosting) and I never had any issue. Their tech support also is pretty good and helpful.

    I've owned and managed a reseller account with HostGator for some time now, and only hand a small handful of problems them (these were things like changing the primary domain on the reseller account etc...).

    For shared hosting you'll be pretty safe with hostgator. At least you'll be placed on a secure server unlike hosts such as Cirtex or Web Host Pad. Currently i'm hosted on blueHost, and not once had a problem with them, very helpful support too! :)

    We have been using Hostgator.com for over 2 years now and have NEVER had a problem with them .... not even once ... Hope that helps ... I know how you feel right now as I was in the same situation when looking for a hosting reseller about 2 years ago ... thank God i decided to go with HosGator ( at least so far :)

    Why would they be a scam? their an established hosting provider.

    Scams are things setup to take your money and give you little or nothing in return.

    Hosts like hostgator have low prices.

    Aside from Site Build It for my major sites, I do all my other hosting at HostGator. They give you a lot of bang for your buck! ;)
