Web Crawl Stats - 404 (Not found)

    A number of pages from one of my website is showing 404 not found message in google webmaster tool. The pages do exist correctly and there are no problems with robots.txt file.

    Can anyone tell me possible other reasons why the pages are not found and how to correct the issue?

    Page taking too long to load could be one.

    It could be something to do with redirect links. are those links using social bookmarks

    Nope redirects wont affect... Once something like this happened to me, because some server side script is blocking access to the Web page if "user-agent" attribute of "http request header" is null...

    Incomplete sitemap or sitemap with errors maybe?

    why not check your awstats? click the link that says 404 and see what it says
