First of all, you should first answer that do you really need a master reseller? Are you going to start a web hosting company or why you need a master reseller? What are the benefits you are expecting from a master reseller? Actually if you are not starting your own web hosting company you don't need any master reseller or reseller hosting. Now a lot of people are just offering master reseller hosting packages just for 5$. But is master reseller worth 5$? But are they providing the service and support they needed? The answer is NO. I hope you have already found some stories over the net for these cheap resellers. Using a master reseller you can create reseller hosting and shared hosting account. Yes you can do master reselling on VPS. But first think do you really need a master reseller and why.

Personally I like Knownhost's VPS, which can be used for setting up a reseller's account. Also, you can opt for basic reseller account at a lower cost. Hostgator, on the other hand, provides equally good reseller account. Both have been known for their fantastic support. There may be other good hosts out there.
When you will be offering Reseller hosting account using a Master reseller all the you have to solve all the problems of your clients. That might not be easy for you. I think you should wait for some days and look for offers of other hosting websites also.

I will buy only from those who are the best and well known many times, i have heard about poor support. Many times a person buys a master reseller account from a company & after 6 to 7 months, company disables the account of Person, this happens many times, so i dont want any kind of mess like this........
