What do you mean a blog site? I thought you wanted your site to be a blog.

Go to wordpress.org, download it, install it and start your blog. It takes 5min. to setup.

You can do exactly what JWR said and add it to your domain as a subdomain "blog.diamondfilms.co.uk". If you don't want to host it yourself you can use Blogger or go to Wordpress.com. The problem with these is that they are not near as customizable as if you go to Wordpress.ORG and download Wordpress.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT go with a hosted Wordpress or *ESPECIALLY Blogger. Download Wordpress and host it on your own site. Take it from everyone who knows better!!!!

I usually dont say much and keep my nose in my own business, but since you haven't actually made the decision yet, I've got to push my opinion. :)

Added bonus of hosting your own version of Wordpress is that you will have full control over all aspects (theme, plugins, etc) without having to pay added fees. You'll surprise yourself at how easy it really is.

Ok so it is best to open a sub domain on my site. Thanks for this tip.

So by downloading wordpress and adding the blog to a subdomain within my site will be a better option for page rank than say blogger or similar sites....

yes! you already have a site that you have hosting account for. why would you get a blog on blogger? wordpress is a free CMS which you can download and upload to your site, then run the installation. just setup a folder or a subdomain (you can have the blog as blog.url.com or url.com/blog) and install worpress on it. if you have a host that supports Fantastico, then you dont even have to download wordpress as Fantastico auto installs wordpress for you

For me, Wordpress is a god send. It is so versitile that you can basically run your entire site from it.
