You are using default blogger templates for your blogs this makes them look a bit cheap. To make the blogs better you should get professional templates for both blogs.
Get some professionally designed logos for each site, I'd get rid of the generic color scheme at the very least, preferably chuck the whole template and get something more interesting. The content is good but what exactly are you trying to do with the blog? You have very specific blogs which can be good or bad depending on what you're trying to do.
try to search on SE. there are most good themes for your blog. as dynamite196 said, specific blog is good for your SERP but it is depending with your technical.
for tire snow chains i would place that top amazon widget in your gadget section of your templates so that it is on the side, it would make the page more apealing to the eye
