Future of ASIA domains

    I'm one of the early ASIA domain registrants. I got 16 ASIA domains but haven't been able to decide what to do with them.

    Do you think ASIA domains will be worth something in next couple of years? There are billions of people living in this continent. What kind of opportunities this extension brings to a domainer(beginner) like me. My domains are listed at SyedAhmed.com. I would really appreciate any ideas. I am even looking to sell some of my ASIA domains.

    i think it will take some more years,as people prefer contry domains instead of asia.

    Absolutely not, I see it as another money grab by the registrars. It's a pointless extention just like .eu when the individual countries already have their own ccTLDs.

    Same opinion here, another desperate attempt at your wallet. I have even seen existing registrars adding new variations to their country extensions in the hope of grabbing more of the domains pie. I guess it is best to stick to dot com if you are thinking of investing in domains, dot net may be another choice, the rest may not be worth it as there are simply too many.

    i don't see much value in .ASIA

    I have been traveling for 2 month now through Asia and they use mostly .com and their own country code extensions. Come to think of it i have not seen one .asia yet
