Ok this is what i am finding out. They are telling me the vps server you are on urbt this is what they told me. Hi, The problem is quota initialization is still running thanks Now as i am unable to log in to the server and that vps server has been up and online running perfect since we put it on line all i can tell you is what i am being told. I have answered your support ticket but with our root access tot he server there is not much i can do but i will do what ever it takes to get your sites back on line for you. I do wish all of you a Merry Christmas.
Well I have to be honest - the whole time I was with IwhiC they have been absolutely great to me. With this merger with Ahosting, I think it is time I up and leave: not just IwhiC, but the proxy business. Aimee and Jason, thanks so much for everything you've done. As soon as the New Year comes, I will buy myself a new, cheaper server and sell off my proxies. I suppose this was kind of useful to reveal to me the money and time I was wasting on proxies. For everyone else affected by this, I think you should look at your proxy income and think about whether, going into a new year, you still want to be doing this. Just my 2 cents, but I hope it helps some of you guys. EDIT: Just saw your post IwhiC - I am a noob when it comes to tech so I have no idea about HyperVM, I don't even know what it does. I have never logged into it and have no idea of the username and password or how to access it.
liberty is now up, there reason was because of a DoS attack. But i'm not sure if thats the truth because the downtimes off all other servers
seem like ot's time for me to do the backup. I was with iwhic for almost a year and now I may need to look for new hosting again soon. so sad and sorry to hear about your issues iwhic.
36 hours on, my server is still down and I haven't had a single concrete response from the new owners.
hey iwhic any chance tht u might enter into the hosting biz again..? say with a new name iwhivc (int. webhosting is very cheap..) just a thought.. we could use some really good tech support ,u know..
I hope everything turns out fine for all iWhic customers. Its sad to see a company move hands like that though I must say the proxy plans provided by iWhic was overselling, I hope that is not the reason for selling off iWhic when all teh servers got way overloaded. Merry Christmas all!
nanolab - nice to know I'm not the only one. I'm packing up and leaving, I just need two things - a refund, and my server backups.
I didnt receive announcement about the sold out. im hosted in patriotic. is there a change in the server or something? its up and running now but if i did not receive the news, i may not receive upcoming news in the future thanks
My server's backup, but I've submitted a ticket to the billing department requesting a $70 refund to cover server costs (99.9% my a$$) and at least $50 to cover my losses and future traffic losses. I can't belive this: so much time I spent building traffic only to have it all wiped out.
I think it's absolutely fair you recover this months hosting costs and if they are care anything about their new customers then they should give out some sort of compensation. I run a lot of proxy sites and know having them down for 2-3 days can devastate your earnings for a while.
I have had a problems since the 23rd and still not fixed its taken me 2 tickets and god knows how many replys first of all was told was an old ip address of the site? Then told me to "Please have a check after few hours of time. then was told "Due to recent issue on the server, we had to stop certain VE on the server. We are still working on the node to get everything sorted." This morning 4 days later was told 11:15:09 up 2:51, 0 users, load average: 0.21, 0.27, 0.33. When trying to access my sites they are all down and when checking my site here http://internetsupervision.com/ getting DNS or Connection error. I have had to keep on at them but still not getting onto my sites or able to login to take a backup of the sites. I am sorry to see iwhic go as till now they have been great uptime, support and cost been spot on
I think that it is fair to say that you should get your refunds because their service has not been reliable at all lately. If not, take them to court and sue them, its not a option to waste. The previous owner may also be liable. ~ Mike
Very unfortunate that you guys sold it. I'm getting 403 Forbidden errors and have to submit a support ticket every time I create a new site. But it was the right decision to do. Hope everything settles.
