Yeah... I got an expiring notice from GoDaddy... Thought I would put something up on it... Maybe a forum where people can post their favorite drunk stories..

Ok and another thing,

I suggest you either write or get someone to write a few EXTREMELY hilarious stories that are like 500-1000 words and use social bookmarking on them.

With a bit of luck you might have one get a lot of diggs or something like that which would bring you a few dozens of new stories and it would become self perpetual marketing...

 

It sounds a good domain... maybe you should get drunk more often, cos it obviously inspires you

 

If only I could convince my wife that drinking is good for business...

Yeah come up with good true or untrue drinking stories like the Iowa 'hero' that sweet talked a married woman and mother of two to have sex with him in the mens bathroom at a local bar while her husband waited at their table. They were both arrested and in the same newspaper issue that the story ran his fiance had taken out an advertisement wishing him well and calling him her 'hero' as he was leaving for Iraq.

that story hit and exploded all over forums and blogs like Holy Taco a few months ago, now imagine that that all of those sources linked to the original finding at your site... bam you get tons of traffic.

 

I actually have a pretty good real drinking story that I'm going to post... I'd like to get several posts so the forum doesn't look too dead...

 

some quick suggestions:
1. 'stores' on the front page should be 'stories'
2. make a link on the front page that says 'forums'
3. adjust the css of the phpbb3 skin to kinda match the front page.
4. make a logo.... perhaps a silhouette of a man holding a whiskey flask and/or pint glass

as far as marketing goes when you're out at a bar start telling a hilarious drunk story and make sure you mention your site... would be pretty viral i would think.

the blog submitting thing should work well too. sites like my blog stuuffs.com and Holy Taco allow user submitted stories and select them based on editorial criteria.
