2 years :D and still no rank... to put it right -- I've never achieved a ranking :(

but I recommend directory submission (choose them carefully) and social bookmarking traffic pays a lot... try article marketing too, that helps more if you're an affiliate marketer...

I cant remember exactly but it was about 6-10 hours. I achieved the first page ranking about 7th or something like that out of perhaps 100k results. I really can't remember exactly but it was something along those lines :)

my site has been up for 7 days and i am 14th at msn out of 70,000,000 pages...98 at google ...still have a ways to go...

initial quick start strategy is forum and blog posts and social bookmarking sites

article marketing is just kicking in now..i had 6 articles approved by ezine today..so that should help...

    and of course directories...

In my case it was 3 hours 43 minutes and 12 sec,
My brand new website went to the top10 soon after top3 and #1.
After 6 years is still there. The keyword was "w..ings"

I used back linking method. Even today it does work great , I recommend it to everyone.

Ps.are you for real?, why would I tell anybody my ways of getting to the top?

The quickest I've ever ranked a site was for the sons of anarchy forums, mostly due to a lack of competition, but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. All I did was optimize the code and submit a sitemap. Other than that, most take a lot more time.

    I dont understand your point.

You asked "whats the quickets you have ranked in the top 10 search results for a certain keyword? and what methods did you use to get there?"

I did this last year and have sent you to a page with an explanation and screenshot of my success.

You did not specify any additional criteria such as "what the quickest you have ranked in the top 10 search engine results in the last X day".

Is there any particular criteria you would like to instill on us before we submit our posts?

Are we suppose to go and be present in front of a notary public who will certify that we have in fact done what we have said?

I am not asking you to believe me, quite frankly its your choice to believe or not believe, but I myself know it to be true and I have taken the time to post my finding on the internet to help people like yourself with these kind of questions.

All I know is that on 11/5/2008 i registered a domain name, threw a site up using the basic seo requirements, 3 days later it was number 1 for the exact term I was targetting.

So despite being told by an army of my peers that there is a sandbox etc, I went out of my way to dissprove it.

It's all about keywords guys. My free website gets 1st place among 2360k results in google. Keyword is "downloadwallpapers" (yeah, no space in between).
May be it took 2 to 4 months to get that place, but I didn't notice it carefully.

I have ranked higher for a keyword in a single day. I don't how I managed to do so but still I maintain a top position for that keyword.

    Keyword: Google’s New Year Gift

    Competition: 1,630,000

    My blog: http://cijo.i.ph/

Still I maintain my position in top 5.
