INDIA is going to attack Pakistan

Pakistan has to cave to international presure because its not doing well economically i had read in papers its so bad that they had to ask for funds from IMF or they would be bankrupt. Pakistan isnt strong as iran or iraq when saddam was there.

What is the point in attacking a neighbour anyway already the region is precarious. with Maoist to the north in nepal, the big brother china to the north east, terror groups from Bangladesh, ltte to the south and naxals in the central region. Our country is desperate need of a economic stimulus war is not good for all of these...and a very important reason why war is not a solution is human lifes,

I don't think we will be thinking of peace with pak though, unless their government helps in anti-terror operations.

War is ugly India should use it only if it is forced upon it or as the last option. We are not as paranoid as americans are so our leaders will think rational and will make a wise decision

but if the india do attack pakistan, and then win.... then what?
what they going to do next? occupied pakistan? create a puppet government? kill, rape and torture pakistani people?

Pakistan cannot win from USA but we can win from india.
We are making our powers just for india. occupied pakistan is just a dream of peoples of india.

Indian military have large quantity while pakistani military have technology as compared to india.

 

If we wanted pakistan we would have never gave it to you at first place what are you talking about?? & If we wanted it back afta tht then we won more then half pakistan in 1971 we gave it back.

If you have more technology great enjoy it & do use it. Because having it is not the greatest thing in the world. Having the guts to use them is the greatest thing but they won't because they will be effected more then we will be.

Just to be on the real side India has way advance technology, army wise greater in power & in lot of ways better. If not can u compare for me & put in the main points here?

It's because india has never started a war for thousands of years. You gotta scare the other countries a bit.

I think if I remember correctly, after India was helping the Bangladesh liberation, Pakistan surprise-attacked india in 1971, and lost very, very badly.

I don't think india has ever started a war.... so why would they start one now?

For the last several days, there has been talk of how the Indo-Pak impasse after the Mumbai terror strikes could pave the way for military strikes on terror hubs in Pakistan.

But the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have proven that conventional military strikes cannot defeat a determined terrorist force. In the current situation in the subcontinent a military option may achieve very little.

India's frontline fighters are armed with laser-guided bombs. Those are bombs that can strike a target with pinpoint accuracy. But while that can be used to target structures how can bombs eliminate terrorist groups who could be expecting such strikes and may well have dispersed from their terrorist camps.

Is the government prepared to launch air strikes on the territory of a country which is armed with nuclear weapons and where there is no clarity on who controls the weapons, civilians or the military?

In the event of a Pakistani counter-attack, which is entirely expected, a battle to target terrorists could well turn into a full-scale war between India and Pakistan. That would be fought using tanks, warships and fighter aircraft. How would that thwart terrorism?

Is it in India's interests to fight an army which is otherwise occupied in containing terrorism on the Afghanistan front?

Even if India prepares for war it would take more than a month to have its defences in place on the Western front which requires massive mobilisation. That has not happened.

Economically, a war between India and Pakistan, even for a period of 2 or 3 weeks would cost thousands of crores. This would damage the foreign investment climate and affect GDP growth.

Perhaps the biggest concern for India is the game of brinkmanship being played out. There is a danger that Pakistani forces could provoke an Indian reaction and thereby deflect from the real issue of terrorism emanating from its soil. That could be done through massive artillery shelling in areas along the Line of Control or in areas such as Siachen and engaging Indian helicopters or aircraft operating close to the Line of Control or international border with missiles or gunfire.

 

India doesnot need full fledged war. We just need to carpet bomb the terrorist bases in a short time. Then USA will come and ask to stop the fight which we will. But the bases will have been destroyed by them.


One reason of not attacking Pak is that we have several big military projects in near future which may face problems if we start a war.

#We are making 5th gen aircraft with Russsia
#We are making advanced aircraft in India.
#IAF Tejas will be commisioned in next year.
#We are buying 2 aircraft carriers.
#We are buying nuclear submarines.
#We are in process of upgrading Mirage 2000

We are set to strenthen our military so we are avoiding this war.

Nobody should think that we are not powerful enough.

The backbone of Pak is still F-16. In 2-3 years we will have a vastly improved air force.

I guess the reason of war if is you all are Pakistani's , Indians are violent. Never thought with brain. War War War! That's been happening since the British army went. The main thing is you guys were friend once , then a small thing happened "You listened to media" "You kickassed each other". Reason none of you had peace against each other.
