What is the effect of rel=\â€nofollow\†attribute in a link. I see most blogging software use this. Can anyone please explain. Thanks
The purpose of the rel="nofollow" attribute is to create HTML links which can be viewed and clicked by normal web users, but which will not be counted as a link by the search engines.
I'm not sure about the rel=nofollow, I have links on some very high pagerank sites and they all are nofollow links, but in my webmaster tool, they are showed as backlinks, they still there yesterday I checked.
So, how about in the phpLinkBid script? There is a section in the directory configuration that ask...Use `nofollow` for links (Yes) or (No)? How would you want this set? What are the differences for you...the webmaster and them...the link customer?
Webmaster tools will show links regardless of whether they are nofollow or not. But it would be nice if webmaster tools highlighted the links that were nofollow, and/or gave the PR of the links you have pointing to your site. Cheers James
This is horrible. One of the SEO tools i purchased, searches blog entries (WordPress, etc) with higher Page Ranks and post comments... It is really sad to learn that those links have no SEO values.
many backlinks of my site are nofollow. but they can shown up in google tools or yahoo search. i wonder if those nofollow backlinks do help to me/ you can seethose backlinks throught search my site for link:www.babatek.com.
