that doesn't count it out though... i mean consider it's pre packaged on windows pc's and when the fix is done then new users or users with a new pc will still use IE... i wouldn't count it out... though i do prefer firefox myself and windows is the most vulnerable since it's the most common... people will attack the larger userbase...
we should appreciate Microsoft in this regard. They have worked real fast in bring a patch for the vulnerability and they have also informed the media about this. They could have easily sneaked this under the carpet but they admitted it and solved it. btw.. Mozilla also released a urgent update if you are not aware...
after arrival of so many versions of IE in markte now experts found threats who knows fire fox also be declared unsafe a decade later come on people these things keep on going... tricks to bring in new things.... and as far as i knoe Fire Fox is more suitable with Linux not windows
Just because it's attacked the most doesn't mean it's more vulnerable. Being more vulnerable means there are more holes in it that can be attacked. Given the same number of attacks, any of the Unixes will stand up to them far, far better. Same thing. More attacks does not make anything less safe to use. It's how it's written that determines vulnerability.
Microsoft has the worst record in fixing vulnerabilities. There are some that have been around for months, even years, before they were fixed. I love how Windows users, after catastrophic breakdowns of MS products, dig up some obscure bug in other products as evidence that "everyone" has bugs, ignoring the fact that Mozilla, in this case, has 3x fewer vulnerabilities than IE and Mozilla can, and has, fixed major problems within hours of becoming aware of the issue. Also note that Microsoft's patch is based on a serious, immediate threat while the Mozilla patch was not. You should be more grateful knowing Mozilla acts much, much more quickly than Microsoft ever has in resolving such issues. Another reason no one should use IE.
I used all kind of browsers. Firefox, opera, and ie. However, only ie allows easy programming from visual basic.
Actually FIREFOX ROCKS u knw guy i luved IE when i was a dumbo now am smart enough by uisng FIRFOX .. wow speedy slim flexible futuristic secure caring helping cute yeah me too heard abt that news dat Microsoft itself ask their own users to switch to some other browser.. is it true? i heard in many news channel and in newspapers also.. so i guess it might be true and i really feels sooooooooo luck.. ummmmmmmmmmmah MOZILLA
This guy is right. MS actually did the opposite of what the OP said. They said there is no reason to switch due to one flaw: "Said Mr Ferguson:"If users can find an alternative browser, then that's good mitigation against the threat." But Microsoft counselled against taking such action. "I cannot recommend people switch due to this one flaw," said John Curran, head of Microsoft UK's Windows group."
I saw this story a while ago. Just like with Windows, there are security holes found but everyone doesnt stop using Windows. Everyone will not stop using IE.
LOL, your bank tells you to use IE INSTEAD. ROFLMAO. Omg, this killed me. Maybe you should send them some articles about IE:
I locked my IE with every tool i found, it was covered with virus I think we can consider the ie exe file a virus itself since it keeps coming back from nothing when you delete it
The IE issue has been fixed now. Many of you must know that Microsoft released a patch update for the IE and fixed the issue. It was mainly affecting people who do on-line gaming and a security thread to them and their passwords. Not many other people were/are affected. ~ Mike
yep! mozilla has also released a update... but like the experts said switch.. IE is always behind with FF FF has better security because many hackers are hacking IE because it's security P.S Microsoft did not informed the media about this... that were the experts
