Have an enduser buyer interested!

I have an enduser that is interested in the name CARCRASH dot INFO. I have basically gave them a price & they said it's too much so I asked them what is the max they would be willing to pay. It was in the Low $xxx range which is less than I would like to sell for to an enduser.

How much would you value the name at in the reseller market, not taking into consideration endusers?

I think "car crash information" has to be worth more that a few hundred bucks, surly.
I know the dot info's tend to get a bad rap from domineers, but to the general public, info = information, and information about car crashes is very valuable.
The domain would appeal to a lot of people and/or institutes, like educators, transport safety, vehicle safety ratings, insurance companies etc.

I have no experience in appraising domains, but I think you have a great domain, in fact I would say a premium one. But at the end of the day, a domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay and the seller is willing to sell for.
If it were mine, I wouldn't sell it for anything under 10k.

    Cheers

I would have sold at low $xxx. James what drugs are you smoking? If you think this is a 10k domain you need to learn a lot more about the domaining market.

Mid $xxx is max I think you could get for that. You should negotiate with them.

    lol
To be fair, I did say I have no experience in appraising domains, and maybe someone has been tampering with my tin.
But it just sounds like a good domain to me.
And If I thought a domain was worth more than someone was prepared to pay, then I would rather hold on to it.

But yeah, your right, I do need to learn a lot about domaining.

    Cheers

Maybe it´s just me, but who would search for "car crash" where is the potential what´s the idea?

But maybe, for some unknown reason, it would be worth a lot to this potential buyer. So, of course try and get as much as possible, but at the same time not expect too much.

Low xxx is perfect for that name. And really dont know who and why will search for car crashes information.

You made a mistake by asking how much they are wiing to pay. Seems they are willing to pay more then low xxx...anyway low xxx or more.. i wouldn't miss a chance. If this is really end user tell him 500 firmly and wait for his answ... but u allready screwed a lil by asking a price.

Yeah that is a magnificent return on investment.

@ James: If the domain name was developed and there was a steady stream of people looking for information on car crashes, the domain would be worth $10,000 or more. Dot info is a great end user TLD, that is why I love snapping them from domainers who don't have a clue.
